I found this funny, but feel some people would be offended considering the large american member base..

Making fun of somethingas tragic and terrible as 9/11 is NOT FUNNY!!  That event resulted in a REAL WAR!!  REAL WAR IS NOT A JOKE!!  PEOPLE DIE IN SUCH EVENTS!!

 

Just because something happened a long time ago, doesn't mean the tragedy should be FORGOTTEN!!  It's like celebrating the aftermath of WORLD WAR II.  PEOPLE DIED!!  DOESN'T ANYONE HAVE ANY ETHICS?!?!  9/11 should NOT be treated like the Titanic's story.  They both were TRAGEDIES!!

 

Also, don't start thinking that 9/11 was a once-in-a-lifetime event.  IT STILL COULD HAPPEN AGAIN!!  DON'T MAKE FUN OF SOMETHING THAT RESULTED IN DEATH AND DESTRUCTION!!  IT'S LIKE MAKING FUN OF PEARL HARBOR!!  DON'T DO IT!!

 

IF the victims of 9/11 saw this post, they'd be FURIOUS!!  INSTEAD, have some RESPECT for the ones who perished for the FREEDOM AND LIBERTY of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!

Everyone dies eventually it is impossible to escape it my brother,

any tragic of death of any living species is something that shouldn't be taken lightly.

nevertheless some may have to find themselves laughing or covering it as a joke with horrible events to keep their sanity. we all are humans we all know a right from wrong it is those who laugh just to mock other living beings deaths is someone of pure evil.

 

Snow? There will always be one person who will cry at your funeral. Try to think of that person when you go mocking a death.

 If you laugh at this I will be more and happy to give you something else to laugh at.

What I've learned on the internet: a lighthearted joke regarding an event we know is horrible is on the exact same level as spitting in the face of the victims and victims' families of said horrible event, then laughing at their graves.  Because, obviously, the people who'd get a chuckle out of a simple ribbing are incapable of distinguishing right from wrong and think 9/11 was a minor incident.  The more you know!

I don't get the joke.  The real joke is on us because the media was not interested on the 9/11/12 attacks.

It all makes sense now lol.

I'm American, and I find it hilarious mostly because I love that show and I know why he would say "Megan." I'm not laughing at the fact that hundreds died, I'm laughing at the  implication that Megan caused it

You are asking for angry, revolted members aren't you

I'm not even a USA citizen, and seriously... If on the day of the Connecticut shooting someone made the same joke, it'd be as horrible as I find this to be right now.

I think people have all the right to be revolted at you for posting this because you're still using this event as a bridge for humor.

Locking thread, please refrain from making jokes about any tragedy. 

 

Seriously guys, this only happened 11 years ago. There are people walking around today that still remember it, and are still hurt by it. New Yorkers who remember seeing the towers in flames such as myself still have the image very clear in our minds. 

 

Any event that claimed innocent lives shouldn't be joked about, no matter when it happened. 

 

I'm not really upset with the original post to be honest, mostly the responses of people trying to justify it. Grow the firetruck up.
