How do you think Sora will be dubbed in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix? Will they take his audio from a previous game or completely voice him over again?

Featured Replies

I think the reason it's going to take long is maybe they are voicing him over again. Sora with his KH1 voice wouldn't fit.

Voice him over

probably voicing him all over again

Off topic, but is Richard Epcar really not re-dubing Ansem? or was that a clever ruse

But I think they will re-voice probably

Probably reuse but if they need any new recordings theyll do those.

Same voice, altered chords.

The words will not be changing,

But memories might.

Personally, I hope they keep the old ones.

I can't really see Square digitally modifying Sora's voice.

Sorry, I've been practicing haiku to convey my meaning, heh.

Agreed, that would be absurd.

I wish they'd use the old audio.  It's feel more realistic him having a squeaky voice.

I have a feeling they'll be enhancing the audio

if they voice over Sora I'm gonna cry ;~;

I thought they'd revoiceact, but due to recent news, I kinda lost hope and thought they'd reuse it

But now they're saying it'll take 6-7 or even 8 months! So i'm lost right now xD

I don't want them to redub Sora. Continuity be damned. For me, that's going to far... gameplay refinement is swell, but when you change things like voices, that nostalgiac attachment you have towards the game is somewhat tainted...

we need the old squekey sora .... and the original ansem voice actor

Nomura will use his time-traveling powers to go back in time and recruit 14 year-old Haley Joel Osment for this very special task.

The better not be but if they do I really hope they include an option to chose the original.

Considering how long it's going to take, I hope they redub Sora.

Well if the Japanese realese is in a few weeks, and they have the option for English voice acting, then I doubt they're gonna redub Sora just for the English version. Well, that probably isn't a good argument, but I just hope they leave his voice the same...

I think the only reason it's gonna take so long is the dubbing in other languages not that they are gonna redub certain characters thats just stupid if they did, they are gonna keep the same voices that they had in KH and CoM and are just recording the voices for the Days movie and recording the other languages but there has to be something else as to why its gonna take like a 6 month gap between the Japan and other countries release date but oh well

Its a remaster, not a remake, why would they re-voice sora?

Morgan Freeman!!!

Morgan Freeman will be explaining the stuff people wont understand during the game.

The option about switching between English and Japanese voices was a typo. Japanese voices only I'm afraid.

They will reuse the same voice recordings from Kingdom Hearts and Re:Chain of Memories. Nothing will change.

These^ For the first game, Sora's voice fit him perfectly. Why, you ask? Because he is 14, he's in that age where he's hitting puberty, and he hasn't completely passed it yet. The later games it is more appropriate because he aged a whole year, and he is already finished puberty. My point is, the voice fits him because he's still young and more innocent in the first game.

I just realized, Sora skipped over most of his puberty. Lucky dog.

That would be cool.

And the reason it's different in COM is due to his puberty setting in right about then. In real life its cause of it being recorded after KH2, in game its because thats when the changes were happening. Its not his 14 year old voice in DDD because thats a dream.
