I hate roaming Legendaries with a passion

 

not only that they won't stand still and constantly jumps around the map but the moment you find them THEY RUN AWAY!!! Even a wild Ratata isn't coward enough to run away from me like they do

 

 

At least Suicune has some honor in HGSS and fought me fair and square and I caught him after a good fight

 

 

but it took me 5 HOURS.......5 HOURS just to catch Entei 

 

And when Raikou could't stop running I said  F**k those legendaries

 

Even when Steven came to tell me that Latias is in Kanto I couldn't bother to search for it because I'm totally fine with my awesome Dragonite.

 

 

If I ever.....EVER wanted to get a roaming legendary I'll get it through trading

I honestly prefer legendaries that have a location than ones that roam. The dog trio and that one of the lake trio that roams took forever to catch.

When you encounter them you're supposed to HAVE a strategy. Id say use a Quick ball or have a Pokémon with mean look, or even a Diglett with Arena Trap.

well if it's one thing i noticed it's that they're more likely to run away when you fly to a location near them, but if you run towards them they usually stay where they are.

To catch latias in my original sapphire game, I had a wobbuffet and a lot of hyper potions. I also had a very fast swellow using quick attack to lower latias' HP.

Fool. Well for platinum. I just put that map app on to see where the legendaries were. Then I'd go in and out of a single area untilo they were in my area. The first time I'd see them, I'd paralyze them. After that, I'd get a  fast poke'mon around lvl. 60 or something and use false swipe until it had one hp. Then I'd just use wobbafet because I like wobbafet and the legendary can't escape and I'd throw ultra balls until it was caught. I used a fast ball on entai and got it. I caught all the roaming legendaries in about two hours.

The roaming legendaries move every time you change areas.  Find a place where two areas with tall grass, open the map that shows where they are, and keep moving  back and forth between the two areas.  when they appear on the one you're in, use the battle strategies suggested by the rest of these people.

Anyway

 

The only way I caught Entei with is by trapping him with either Whirlpool or Fire Spin

 

Raikou for some reason has a very weak defense and special defense and he has little HP left just because I used Dig on him

 

I know how to catch a roaming legendaries I really do

 

but it is a tedious annoying process to do and they are not even that strong to being with

 

My level 40 Blazekin is much stronger than the Lv40 Entei I caught

 

And my Raichu is still stronger than Raikou

You forgot Mesprit and Cresselia

Quick Ball, or Mean Look/Arena Trap, Sleep/Paralysis, False Swipe and Ultra/Timer Balls. Personally I prefer not to actively look for them, I find it's more fun to randomly encounter them.

Simple strategy without using a Master ball: Have a Crobat with Mean Look and taunt. Pro strategy: Have Smeargle with Mean Look, Taunt,, Spore/Thunderwave, and filler. (Attack move obviously)

RNG/luck sucks for you then. I usually catch legends with the hardest catch rate in 10-30. (I use Pokeballs that match the Pokemon's color, i.e. Darkrai; Luxury ball)I never went for many roamers besides Cresselia because most weren't adequate for my teams in OU, but when I do, it's a piece of cake.

Bigger challenge: Catch every Legendary you can with a Pokéball. Believe me, you'll rage a lot

don't get me wrong, those roaming legendaries made pissed me off to no end as well, but it made me laugh when i made one fall asleep or even freeze one...and they still flee the battle...because thats what logic and nintendo says is possible

I love the challenge of trying to hunt down and catch the Roaming Lengendaries. I love the feeling of accomplishment from finally catching them even more.

Yeah but the problem is they're not even that strong,my Blazekin at level 40 was much stronger than Entei 

 

I would've say it's an accomplishment if it was Latios or Latias because those are DragonPsychic Pokemon

True. I usually don't even use them,  they usually just end up in the box. Though you also have to take into account all the EVs trained Pokemon get from just battling and leveling up. The Legendary Pokemon's stats just take into account their Base Stats. So yeah, Pokemon you raise yourself will most likely be stronger than a Legend you just caught of the same level.

While roaming legendaries are not even that strong.Location legendaries sometimes can be powerful

 

Mewtwo is by far the strongest member in my team and Ho-oh is an excellent fire Pokemon.Lugia is ...........meh and maybe the weakest of the location legendaries...dude a Lucario has defeated my Lugia easily even though they were at the same level

Yeah, I'd say the Lati duo are probably the most useful roaming legends. The others I never even used more than a few times.
