So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

[uh -oh, I'd better act fast.] Robert thought when he saw the drone fire it's laser.

 

"Trust me Joshua, if my plan works, we're all walking out of this alive." With that, Robert ran straight for the bot and, using his intangability, jumped inside. 

 

Inside the drone was what seemed to be a small controll room, with a locked hach in the back. He then unlocked and oponed the hach, alowing Joshua and Hazimie to enter.

 

"Hurry up and get in!" He shouted, and sat doun at the controll chair.

Joshua was a bit freaked out now. (He jumped in?!) Joshua thought frantically, letting the shadow tentacles away from it. He hesitated to.go inside once it was open, and looked down at the molten hot magma below him. He gulped and stepped inside, sitting on a middle chair, away from any window. "...Are you sure you know how to work this...?" He asked, clearly nervous.

"No, not really, but how hard can it be?" Robert said to Joshua as Hazimie walked in, who then closed the hatch.

 

He then took a look at the controll panal. One of the first things he saw was a big red button an a meter right next to it, that was slowly rising-it was almoast to the top. [That must me the laser.] he thought. He then grabed a lever and moved it from REMOTE to MANUAL, and flew straight into the glass floor.

 

"Great, now how do I pull up?" Robert asked as the lava got closer and closer. Fortunently however, he was able to pull up only a few feet before they hit the lava.

"Don't worry about it"

"I'd like to hear about it. For now, good night, guys" He said to them, seeing them laying down together

 

He walked over to the group talking

He noticed the 2 newcomers

 

"Do I even wanna freaking know??"

 

"Yumi, Locke I'll hold down the fort here. But I swear, if one more bird person shows up.." He said clenching his fist glaring around at the 2

 

He looked at Humm

 

"Will you be gracing us with your extened presence, or departing with the temple group??" He said sarcastically but with an indifferent look on his face, after Crow, he wouldn't be so quick to willingly invite another bird into the group

Alright, Xander. Locke said overconfident, but just in case, he checked all the bunker... he found a lot of pieces of paper. He then keeped all of these inside his bag. "If i run out of paper... i´ll become useless.. so i need to be careful." 

Alright Yumi, Robin... Let´s go. 

Joshua was more unsure of their chances at living now, but didn't say anything. He sat down with his knees up to.his chest, closed in as if of uneasiness and fear. "I really don't know how to work it; I don't know, I don't want to try, and I don't want to LOOK...!" He exclaimed frantically to Robert, looking down at the floor of the drone. He was away from the windows still, from not doing well with heights, as well as the fact that boiling hot lava would melt them and kill them for good. He sighed of relief when he felt them all ascending, reluctantly. "Okay...we're alive...but where are we? I just woke up from a nap like ten minutes ago...."

 

(I should've mentioned this earlier: Joshua's appearance is the same as my avatar/signature)

It was a wobbly ride, but Neisan succeeded in hovering through the warehouse's gaping hole.  By now the walls were nearing dangerously close to Ren; he wondered if he even had enough time to escape.  With a powerful gust of wind, Ren propelled himself into the air and channeled himself through the opening.  He only slowed when the warehouse was in the distance and the others loomed into view.  Gradually he lowered himself, his feet hovering several inches from the ground before allowing the wind to dissipate.  Ren took a sweeping glance over the others. "Did you guys land alright?" he asked.  Noticing Kilek's leg, however, he began to think they hadn't.

Hazimie and the others are saved from the lava and try to take a break."Guys,i'll see if i can hear from afar..."Hazimie said as he then use his Music Power to hear from far away."I hear.....there's a noise.....at the five meters away...."Hazimie said as he explaining to them."I don't know what it is,but it could be sound from the river,or the windmill at the warehouse far from here..."Hazimie said to the others for what he heard...

[Yes, we're not dead!] Robert thought as they leveled out just above the lava. He then steared the drone upward, straight into what remained of the glass floor. [One well placed blow should do it] He thought, and blasted through the glass, causing the rest of the floor to shatter and fall into the lava.

 

"Allright Xi" Robert said, "we passed your test, so is it ok if we can have this droid as our reward?"

Yumi sighed."I have a feeling but,let's go anyway." She said.

She nodded."Let's hurry this up...I don't want to leave Fully for to long." She said.

She walked out of the bunker. "So let's go." She said.

(Whelp, look's like I'm going to be sitting tight for a bit, at least until Fulmen is forcefully woken....because I get the feeling bad stuff's going to keep on happening.)

Ren, Kilek, Tsuna, and Neisan stood outside the crumbling warehouse. The moment that Ren exited all of the five wrecking balls surrounding the warehouse shutdown immediately. They had landed on the opposite side of the warehouse as they had come in. There was a path now leading further towards the radio tower now in front of them. The path passed a small shack only a few meters from them. It wasn't impeding their progrss nessecarily, but it seemed purposefully place in their view. It was only big enough for a single small room inside. The path continued on a ways afterward, but in the darkness of the coming night it was difficult to see what lay further ahead.

Xi gave no answer to Roberts question through the earpeice. Instead he seemed to respond with an action. The drone suddenly locked up, an alarm began to sound.

 

"Warning: Drone Self Destruct Imminent. All controls relinquished."

 

The drone spun out of control, dipping and rising with sporadic randomness. The door to the outside didn't open, but luckily, that was no issue, as the drone in its crazed state, crashed through the door and surrounding bunker wall, breaking through to the outside and smashing into the grass.

 

"Self Destruct imminent, please evacuate."

 

Unbeknownst to the rest of them in the first few moments of the crash, a young man lay asleep on the grass outside on the path to the next test. Sylar.

"I'll take that as a no, come on Robert!" Joshua called. Once the drone had landed out the grass, the door lead straight to the ground since it was flipped over to the side. Joshua's shadows shred open the side of the drone (which was now facing where the door used to be) and jumped out, using his shadow to grab Hazimie and Robert while shielding them from the coming explosion...or implosion, whichever. "The shadow won't break, so the self-destruct won't hit us." Joshua told Hazmie and Robert, lying down from a bit of dizziness from the drone.

 

Lira awoke at the sound of a crumbling building and glanced around. "Hm...this is an unsual setting. An island, perhaps." Just then, a black and blue streak of energy came across Lira's body as if it was an electrical wave, with smaller streaks of light emitting from it, atill just like lightning. As the streaks passed through Lira's body, it changed once visible. Her soft and pale skin became paler and wrinkled, her blue eyes shifted colors, her hair grew, withered, and turned gray, yet was still firmly braided on the sides. Even Lira's clothes changed completely. Lira transformed herself from a young and beautiful woman in her twenties to an elder but wise-looking lady. "Maybe I'll find others here, wherever I am...." Lira said, with her voice changed as well, now raspy yet healthy. She strolled on ahead towards where the destruction of the warehouse came from.

The drone exploded, but the shadow wall held. Once the explosion ceased, Robert got up and looked around. All of the nearby plants, even the trees, were destroyed, and yet they were compleatly unscathed.

 

[Wow, this Joshua kid's probably stronger than Hazimie and me combined, and he's only a child!] Robert thought.

 

He then noticed a dirt path leading away from the temple. Not only that but there was someone sleeping on the grass right next to it. He ran over to the guy, who looked to be only a few years older than Robert, and tried to think of what to do.

 

[Well, none of the other test subjects have tried to do me any harm yet, so why not?] He thought to himself.

 

"Hey, are you allright?" He asked, hoping that this would wake him up.

Neisan winced at the sickening crunch Kilel made as he landed. Then he turned and saw Ren fly to safety. "Whelp, we're all here! Except for Sikota, of course." Neisan surveyed his surroundings and noticed the shack. "Hey, Xi! Mind telling us anything about the lean-to there? Don't want to walk in unprepared, now do we!" Neisan turned to Kilek's leg. "I can set this, if you want me to."

Kilek looked up at Neisan, "J-just help me up...please" he said, trying not to sound like he was whining. He grabbed onto Neisan's arm to try and pull himself up. He was holding onto his shoulder when he tried to put weight on his left leg.

 

No words could despribe the pain the went through Kileks body and up to his head, registering in his mind. He screamed and fell to the ground. He wasnt going anywhere with this broken leg.

Robin paused for a moment. "I'll stay by the boys side until he wakes up." She said. "I'll bring him to you once he is fit to travel."

Crow nonchalantly pulled out most of the feathers from the gash in his neck and felt out some of the blood. "That would kill most people." He grinned. "This is getting fun!" He appeared behind Isaac, using incredible strength to bend his arm behind his back. "Let's here you break!" The following crack in his arm, and the snap and pop of his shoulder were music to his ears.

Wow, nightfall is approaching already, Tsuna thought as she looked at the sunset that was slowly disappearing. She looked over at Kilek, who was still in bad condition with his leg. "So how are we going to get Kilek to that little shack over there?" she asked and looked over at Ren. "Do you want to give him a lift with some wind power perhaps?" she asked him. I hope Kilek recovers quickly, she thought and sighed

Yumi sighed."What..ever,but you've heard my warning." She told Robin.

She started to walk away. "Well,I'm off then." She said slowly.

She then yawned."This better be worth it."

Ren knelt beside Kilek, examining his leg without daring to touch it.  "I'm sorry you landed this way," he murmured.  "It was so hard for me to gauge where you all were at when I let the wind dissipate."  Then, turning to Tsuna, he added, "I'm afraid I cannot use my wind to carry him right now.  After that escape back there, my powers are pretty tapped out right now.  It should be fine by morning, I assume."

 

Looking ahead, he could see the sun drifting below the horizon; it would soon be dark.  And everyone knew more evils came out after nightfall.  If they were wise, they would seek shelter before venturing onward.  He took in the radio tower, then the small shack off the side of the road, wondering if its inside was safer than out.  "We should take cover before it gets dark," he said to the party at large.  "Kilek, would you allow me to carry you?  It's not too far, I think I can manage it."

(Fun time.)

 

Sylar's eyes fluttered open. He was looking at another man. Sylar flicked his wrist and used his telekinesis to start choking the man. "You've got a power." Sylar said, cocking his head. "I want it. Intangibility. That would be infinitely helpful to me." Sylar continued. He didn't know where he was, or what he was doing here, but this was a feast he couldn't pass up. Sylar raised his finger and began moving it towards the top of Robert's head, hoping to cut the top of his skull off with his telekinesis.

Kilek simply nodded towards Ren, "If you can manage," was all he said. What hurt Kilek the most wasnt his leg, it was his pride. All I am now is a hinderance, he thought, helpless and useless thanks to my leg.

 

He stared into the direction of the radio tower, and the shack that was between them and the tower, he highly doubted the chances of medical supplies that were meant to treat broken limbs were in there.

(Well this sure escalated quickly)

 

Robert could barely process what was happening. [This psychopath is trying to kill me!] he thought.

 

He knew what he had to do; Robert used his intangibility. The attack was clearly mentaly based, so he wasn't so sure if he could escape.

 

However, only seconds before he would have given in and his brain become puding, he escaped Sylar's mental grip and roundhouse kicked him in the face, sending him tumbling to the ground.

 

"I have no idea what you're talking about, but I'm not going down so easily." Robert proclamed.
