the PS4 was announced yesterday and will be seen today in New York. but it will be released sometime by Christmas, and i don't know about you but I'm excited for it. it could be the system for KH4 and up. and I'm not sure but this could be the controller for it:

PS4 to cost $150 more in Australia then in the US, and seeing as our dollar is stronger then the US, this is ridiculous.

 

I thought the price $399 was awesome, and expected $50 more at the most in Aus.

 

This is a dissapointment to a great day.

 

The PS3 cost more at launch. Stuff costs more in Australia, I thought you'd be used to it. Just wait for the likely slim model. KH3's not coming out for awhile anyway.

More of the point, the PlayStation 4 games are region free. Like the PS3. It just comes down to the disc's producers.

I read that there will be a cloud system where you can play PS3/PS2/PSX games.

Now what I'm wondering is can you play it with discs so not that is a psn title?

The PS4 is not backwards compatible.

It is saying streaming I'm not sure what this means.

But some sites says PS3 games other PS3/PS2/PSX.

Isn't this just like PSN titles?

It seems that nothing is really confirmed. And probably just PS3 games.

If you need to download PS3 games oh well then I'll stick with the PS3.

Im loving Sony at the moment. They are truly getting in touch with my gamer side.

Is that true that it can't read PS3 disks? Also, ive heard  that it can be BC with Gaikai, but do you have to repurchase the games with Gaikai? Or can you use Gaikai to take data from a PS3 if you have one, and use that to let you play the PS3 games on the PS4 or something?

As fa as I know PS4 isn't Bacwards compatible so it can't ready PS3 discs. As for Gaikai, not sure that it will have too much PS3 games on it. but I plan on keeping my PS3

Just don't sell your ps3 and it won't matter.

Despite it being a minus,I won't mind it since the Ps4 is giving me a lot to compensate for that

The only thing you need PS+ for is to use their servers for a multiplayer game, and even then that is up to the publisher if they want it under PS+ or free to play.  All other uses of internet won't need PS+ so you should be good.
