This morning on the news I saw this story about a man in New York. He apparently was walking along, when he saw a woman being attacked by an unknown man. They were on the street but fairly close to a building that had outside cameras. He ran to help her, and in doing so, got stabbed multiple times in the torso. Mst of this was not captured by the camera. However, then the attacker ran, and the hero tried to give chase but collapsed in front of the camera. Laying on the ground bleeding to death.

Did he get help?

The camera watched as no fewer then twenty people passed him lying there; some stopped and stared but still moved on. One man rolled him over and saw the wounds; another snapped a picture with his cell phone. The woman that was attacked didn't even report the crime or return. Almost two hours passed before anyone helped. Bu then, he was rushed to the hospital but died there. It was too late.

WHY? He could've lived if someone had taken five minutes to call an ambulance and wait with him! Its so pathetic! I could kill them all. He was being a good samitarian; apparently no one else was. The greatest thing about New York is also the worst: People leave other people alone.

That is terrible...They just stood there and watched? What is wrong with those people, and taking a picture!? That is just sick and disgusting.. I would have helped that man, and I cannot believe a thought of helping him did not cross their minds, I mean yeah some may think it is a joke or the person is crazy, but there is a point where crazy does not fit into the picture and it is the real deal and someone is hurt and even worse.

This man was doing a great deed, even though he was poor and homeless, trying to save that women. What did he get? He got stabs to the torso, and he layed there on the ground dying, while others walk right by him.

 

Those people were a bunch of douchebags. Especially the guy that took a picture of him and left, and that person who checked him, KNEW that he was wounded/dead, but just walked away, like nothing happened. What the bloody hell is wrong with people these days?

 

But the biggest douchebag is that women who was attacked. I hope she gets attacked again without any help. Why would you run away, yet don't report the crime to the police? Not even one call??? Even if you're nervous and probably pissing your pants from an assult, but she did nothing. Honestly, I believe they should be pressing charges against her, for that unintelligent move.

 

I was reading comments on Youtube about the guy, and one person said you couldn't see the blood, so it made sense to ignore the man. Another said he was a drunk, because they found a beer bottle close to him. Are these people serious? You don't ignore someone on the street, even if they are hobos or drunken idiots. You help them, or at least check if they were ok. And if they aren't, you call 911. rather than assuming he's a hobo/drunk.

 

It's just cruel and inhuman to ignore someone, especially one who is a hero, a good samitarian.

Our history teacher told us a story about how this little girl (forgot what age) fell into a river (40 foot fall I think). A unknown tourist (who was from France) jumped in a got the little girl, and soon after the father jumped in.

They managed to save the little girl and the tourist, got in a taxi and just left. No one knew who he was.

That gave me some hope.

When I went to the Muse concert me and my dad visited tje water gardens. Imagine a huge crater in the ground, and, instead of walls, theres steps on all sides, and water pours down them.

A long time ago when the waterr levels were higher a little kid fell in, and his parent jumped in to helphim. Then they both were drowning and a stranger jumped in to help them. They all drowned. It ended badly, but thats how things like this should be: people should get off their lazy asses and HELP.

I personally have benn in some tight and some life threatening situations and I don't even hesitate: I act.

Those people have plaques at the garden in their honor.

I tend to scare people, but instead of that anger, I usually scare them by just staring at them, looking into their eyes with no emotion, maybe a serious expression. Sooner or later they give off a nervous laugh or look away with fear. I guess i'm a person to be afraid of. Through no emotion. Plus some people might know my insanity, and add it to their fear when I stare, so I usually don't stare at people.

What they did was wrong, but who are you to judge? Dear god take pity on their souls, for they are lost. Its none of our place to judge, god wanted that man who helped the woman back home in heaven. I hope I can meet him when I die!

I read about this too. It irritates me... to no end. But these things can't be helped. Events like these happens that they may open the eyes of others to the wrong that this world has wrought.
