Posted July 12, 201312 yr Im playing VI, so i already know how amazing it is. I want to know which FF games you recommend me to play before VI, so from FF I-V which ones do you think are the best to play.
July 12, 201312 yr I've honestly never played any of the first six games. And I don't think I'll ever play them. It would take probably a remake for me to play them.
July 12, 201312 yr V. It can be a little difficult at times if you don't know what you're doing (VI is when things start becoming more manageable), but I love the job system. It offers a lot of customization for your characters if you can tolerate a bit of grinding from time to time.
July 12, 201312 yr Author I've honestly never played any of the first six games. And I don't think I'll ever play them. It would take probably a remake for me to play them. From what ive seen, i recommend finding a way to play VI. Its definitely worth it. The gameplay and story are amazing, like XIII.
July 12, 201312 yr I haven't played 3 or 5, but I do know that the first 2 are hard for 1 try to play one of the remakes (GBA, PSP maybe) There isn't any change really except for a little annoyance in the battle system. And I think 2 is pretty good from what I played I have never finished a FF game, but I do know from what I played that 1 and 2 really don't hold your hand at all you need to find out and do a lot of stuff yourself I played some of 4 and saw a LP. It's one of my favorites. I loved the story and characters all through-out and found it could be really emotional

Its not the best way of course, i try to avoid it when i can get a physical copy, but you could try playing them on a gba emulator.
July 12, 201312 yr All of the first five I'm currently working on III, but aside from that one, I've finished all the others of the classics. I say II, IV, and V. I don't know why some people don't like II. It can be rather difficult at times, but I like the challenge for the most part. Its one of the most uniqye FF's in terms of leveling, because you don't level. Instead, you level up your weapons and gradually increase stats, like gaining HP after you take a beating. Tedious at times, but a bit of fresh air. Also, Mateus is a bad*ss. Final Fantasy IV is a great game, but its WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY too easy. I think its the easiest of the series. Easy gameplay, nice story, good characters. There are the "eh" characters, though. Give it a shot. Final Fantasy V...well, I'm tired. I believe its listed above. In addition to those, Exdeath is also a bad*ss. Did what Sephiroth did in a different manner, and ended up doing something else Kefka did...in a different way. And he came before both of him. Also, he's a tree.
July 12, 201312 yr IV, you cannot go wrong with IV. Greeat cast, great story, great plot twists, lots of hidden stuff to find and great music!
July 12, 201312 yr I'd recommend ''Final Fantasy V'',the job system is so great, even to this day I consider that FFV has the best battle system out of all final fantasy. The problem with FFV though its his story, its not that great, its definitly one of the worst FF storyline so far and none of the characters are interesting (except for Gilgamesh of course) and that's a big problem considering that Final Fantasy is usually good for its story. But,maybe other people liked it,its not the worst thing ever, but considering how great FFIV story was its really disappointing to see something like this. If you want a good storyline and a bigger game then go for ''Final Fantasy IV complete collection'' on the PSP.
July 13, 201312 yr From what ive seen, i recommend finding a way to play VI. Its definitely worth it. The gameplay and story are amazing, like XIII. I agree. One of the best stories, characters, music and open world i have the honor to play.
July 15, 201312 yr II was good and IV was excellent. Well those were the only ones I've played before VI so idk lol I recommend those anyway
July 15, 201312 yr IV and V, for sure. IV had an amazing storyline, fun gameplay, and also began the revolutionary ATB system that so many games in the series used. I'm still playing through V (I hate Liquid Fire...) but it's incredibly fun because of the job system, and the characters all interact in humorous ways.
August 1, 201312 yr I've honestly never played any of the first six games. And I don't think I'll ever play them. It would take probably a remake for me to play them. There are quite a few remakes of the first 6 you should check them out overall the series 3 is my fave and after that would be 4,1,then 5 as i found 2 too suck in my opinion but you should really go for 3,4,or 5 since in 1(especially in 1) and 2 they dont give hints on where to go and there basically is no help in them so definitley start with 3,4, or 5
