Posted July 14, 201312 yr Envied the west and things we have (or would be like to live in America or the Carribean) while most westerns who are into anime and similar stuff (such as myself)envy them and would like to live in Japan or have the things they do?
July 14, 201312 yr I wonder if people get called weeaboos or something like that out there for those kinds of reasons, too.
July 14, 201312 yr Popular Post I envy both the Japanese and the American. Both countries have great stores for shopping in that are only exclusive to their country. Both also get better preorder bonuses. Though I can get legally drunk before you all. So there.

If it weren't for Disney, manga and anime wouldn't exist. If it weren't for Dungeons & Dragons and by extension the Wizardry games, we'd never have Dragon Quest, or Final Fantasy, or by extention Kingdom Hearts. If you notice in a lot of Japanese pop music, they use gratuitous English because it's the "cool" thing to do over there.

Because of this, they do somewhat envy and also can't comprehend some of the outrageous things we do here in the U.S. Some perspective, many want what they can't have. The east, western stuff, the west, eastern stuff. It's a two way street.

For example Osamu Tezuka (who's credited with creating the "modern anime" style) was influenced by Disney (he adored it) when he made Kimba the White Lion and Disney was influenced by that movie when they made the Lion King. Well, that's one way of looking at it, but yeah. Of course, now there's been such a cross-pollination of cultures Western and Eastern animation are practically offshoots of each other.

July 14, 201312 yr Well at least I know its not like the japanese watch people like me and laugh(they have all the cool stuff over there) Exactly the same thought some people have over there about us.

July 14, 201312 yr There are some pretty nice asain girls though(just saying ) Hmm,I wonder what cool stuff do we have that they don't have? Well the degree of freedom here is certain different. They have school/work almost all days of the week On top of that, they have night school, chores and other things that take up a majority of their time Competition there is rough compared to U.S. These things causes many teens to commit suicide While there still is some pressure in the US, it's not to the degree that a majority would just commit suicide. We have diversity and although we may be ignorant, we are the closest to completely integrating everyone (including sexual preferences)

July 15, 201312 yr I envy both the Japanese and the American. Both countries have great stores for shopping in that are only exclusive to their country. Both also get better preorder bonuses. Though I can get legally drunk before you all. So there. There's a thing called importing. I hardly ever have to import things though. 18 is so much better than 21. The only thing I envy the Americans of is American football. But then again, we probably get better free-to-air coverage of the NFL than them. Lol. We get five games live every week in 1080i, along with every playoff game including the Super Bowl live in 1080i. And we have more sports to watch.
July 15, 201312 yr There's a thing called importing. I hardly ever have to import things though. 18 is so much better than 21. But the purpose and greatness of the items are they are so cheap, the cost of importing makes it's value as a bargain worthless and in particular one of the stores I really want to shop at is Bath and Body Works, and they only ship to US and Canada, which is a case for a lot of the shops I want to shop at. I could have got a US PO box and have it forwarded to me but the cost of that was more than the actual amount I was willing to spend, which was like $50 on hand sanitizer and bath products
