The official GameFreak website has posted a strange picture of a silhouette with a caption noting that "the well known game, played all around the world, is about to be reborn thanks to a surprising collaboration". Now, this may not be regarding Pokémon, but rather another franchise that GameFreak is now working with, so don't take this as Pokémon at this time, but we'll bring news as and when it comes

Edit @ 07:30: It has been found that the URL includes the term Soritiba ソリティ馬, which was a trademark registered last year by Gamefreak

The only think that comes to mind is Pokemon, though I don't feel it's quite that. It's a weird horse silhouette, but it doesn't quite give the impression of something "Pokemonish". Seems like some other franchise I don't know

Yeah, they make a few one-offs every once in a while. Harmoknight and Drill Dozer come to mind.

They do more Pokemon spinoffs than new IPs. I'm not going to complain though, I'm a huge Pokemon fan.

Too bad I don't have the same love for pokemon that I used too.Digimon needs way more love in the west.

True... Maybe Harmoknight is getting a sequel. Otherwise, not sure.

I've heard some people on the internet say it'll be a Pokemon X Harvest Moon collaboration because the picture is like a horse, but I seriously don't see it.

"Surprising Collaboration" might mean a collaboration between another company.

They wouldn't announce RSE remakes before XY gets released. It will make everyone get hyped for RSE remakes and give XY less attention, which as a company who makes games, would like their main product to have the most attention it can get.

 

A spin-off title can happen, or something.

I really hope by a miracle that it ends up being Earthbound that's reborn. Its popular. Just not as popular as other nintendo franchises.

I doubt it'd be EB since Itoi said that he won't make another game, and that he'd leave that to the fans. It'd be awesome if it was, though. What if it's a crossover between Pokemon and EB? ._.

IDK how that would work. There's still the Mother 4 fan game being made, but you never know. Maybe Itoi could've had a change of heart. He said originally when they were making Mother 3 for N64 that they would've made a Mother 4 later on. But as they kept making it, it got too hard, and Itoi gave up, and the idea of a cannon Mother 4 died pretty much.
