I was thinking, after seeing the secret ending of ddd, we can assume that kairi will play a role as a keyblade warrior, and seeing her in kh2 with a keyblade and not fighting means that she needs some training.  So what if there was a spin-off game for kairi, training under a keyblade master like riku or yen sid. I think this would be cool, but I don't want it until after kh3, because i'm tired of waiting for it.

I don't think there will be a spin-off about Kairi, but maybe they will make her playable for the tutorial levels in Kingdom Hearts 3

im not expecting one, i just thought it would be cool

That would be the worst game ever.

There won't be a spin off for Kairi (as much as I think it would help develop her character more before thrusting her into a GoL because there's so  many haters who are bitching about her *stealing* their fav characters spot), as Nomura said there will be no more side games until KH3, and it would be pointless to do her training AFTER KH3 since it'll probably be crash crammed at the start like Lea's was

I wouldn't mind a Kairi game, but I really, really don't want to be an "in training" plot. If she's going to go forward, I want it to be a story that is very personal to her. Never mind the keyblades and Lights and Darks and all that paraphernalia for one moment: I want a story that's about Kairi, not necessarily related to the Master Plan, where we can examine her character. The thing I actually really want to look at for Kairi is what she's afraid of. We know what scares Riku and Sora, but not Kairi. I think tackling that would be great for insight into her mind, and can help her develop a great deal.

Kairi is NOT a mary sue, im not saying this because i like her, but because that statement is false to what the definition of a mary sue is. Just because she is female and has a keyblade doesn't make her a mary sue. Just because a character is poorly developed that does not mean they are a mary sue. People said the same thing about xion and namine and they aren't. You can't just call a character a mary sue because you feel like it."Mary Sue as Protagonist You Don't LikeAn alarmingly widespread use of the term, and one reason a lot of people feel that the term has lost whatever useful meaning it once had. There are a lot of reasons why this usage is so common. Most obviously, as rants about and mockery of the Mary Sue phenomenon became increasingly well-known in fandom, it became increasingly easy to throw the term around as Flame Bait. The fact that so many of the other definitions are highly subjective doesn't help.People who accuse characters of being Mary Sues rarely admit that this is the definition they're using. The best way to tell is if their justifications for the character's Sue-hood are all based on shoehorning, Alternate Character Interpretation, misrepresenting the sources, and Accentuate the Negative. Describe any non-fanfic character as a Canon Sue, and you'll be lucky if no one accuses you of using this definition of the term."

Nomura has confirmed that ddd will be the last story before KH3.

Wow... ok....

Do you prefer

" Vagely annoying character who's really done nothing much important up to this point?"

Riku: Here she is Master Yid Cid, another of the key blade weirders.

Yid Cid: MMmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMmmmMmmm *Cough cough* Are you sure this girl has enough different colors for her own spin off?

Riku: Not yet, but she held a key blade one time. We will just have Nemura fix the color issue.

*Kiari turns to hipster poorly dressed cotton candy looking bad ass.*

Riku & Yid Cid: Perfect...

This... This made my blood boil. Not because of the fact that I love like Kairi, but because of the word "Mary Sue" that you have used to describe her.

FELLOW TVTROPER!!!! But yes, this is the technical definition of a Mary Sue as used by people who are using it as a derogatory term for characters they don't like (typically. Subject to change without notice.)

Personally, I think it would be nice to have a KH game dedicated for her. It would really help for character development, but I'd rather have it out before KH3. Since KH3 is being worked on, well...

I'm just gonna say this, then leave: I'm not fond of Kairi.

* runs away *

I dont think that game will sell.

I like Kairi, too. So it kinda offended me (Just saying. Please don't get mad at me.). Besides, i'm gonna be Kairi (in her school outfit) for Halloween.

I like Namine and Xion, too. Even though you said Namine.

No thanks.

I think that would be really cool, or maybe a KH2 style opening for KH3 where players learn the techniques by playing as Kairi, as she herself learns how to wield the keyblade :)
