I'm actually not hoping for it. The soundtrack remasters were a bad idea in my opinion because it just sounds really, really strange to me.

KH2? Yes, I hope they remaster those tracks. Not because they sound bad, but they would be cool to hear with live instruments.

You're back! And yeah I think that'd be pretty cool they're definitely going to re-record the kh2 music

Strange doesn't necessarily mean bad though, just different. I loved the soundtrack remasters. I actually felt like I was playing the games for the first time. The originals were great, but let's face it, they are pretty outdated. They're classic, but I wouldn't say they're timeless though. Doesn't mean I don't think they're iconic though.

I actually really like some of the re-mastered version in 1.5 especially Xion's theme T.T the violin parts and clarinet part >< made her theme even more emotional!

only two bbs tracks that consists of live instruments, Dearly Beloved and Birth by Sleep -A link to the future-, the rest are 'software intruments' (I don't know how to describe it) just like they did for KHRe:CoM and KH3D, btw there's one KHII tracks which is consists of ps2 synthesizer inst. and live instrument (only sax), Lazy Afternoons

I hope so. I loved the music in KH2, and I think live instruments would be awesome! I loved them in KH 1.5, it definitely added to my favorite music list.

I looked it up, and you're right! I honestly didn't know that. But they do use *some* live instruments in there, I think, like Dark Impetus. I'm not positive though

Re-orchestrated Soundtracks are the best. I will be so disappoint with the soundtrack if it is not re-orchestrated.

youre wrong about kh2 track. They all use the ps2 sound driver. With only 1 streamed track which was dearly beloved. BBS was all streamed music also none was using a synth.

Those 2 both converted Yokos .mid and instuments to a readable format specific for the PS2.

If you dont understand the ps2 sound and music format then just take my word. I extracted all the (SQ/BGM) .mids and (BD/WD) instruments from the game.

Yes, I yes, I know that. Absolutely. I'm just saying that the sax part was recorded live, and mix with the synth. The name of the sax player is written in the book That's what I mean. While the others are synth. Software inst. Not recorded live. The sax part im saying is the same concept with the one winged angel, destati as what you said. Recorded live, mixed with the other none live recording samples, and rendered in ps2 I think I missunderstood what are you trying to say because you said that all kh2 tracks are synth accept dearly beloved, what I'm trying to say is in the soundtrack album, not all are synth, for example last 4 tracks from kh2 ost are full orchestra arranged by kaoru wada. That's what im trying to say. The name of the sax player is hitoshi odori. He is also the sound programmer.

I'm new here, so I apologize if this sounds blunt, but does that also mean you have the segment of "Dive into the Heart" that starts playing when Sora's shadow comes out of the floor (KH1)? I think it's part #6 (following the actual score progression used in the game). The reason is because I need the Destati samples that are used at the beginning of that track.

 

As for me being on-topic however, I really don't have an opinion on potentially remade soundtracks for KH2FM at this point.
