Something that is seriously bothering me about these forums is that I constantly hear people talk about whether or not Roxas, Xion and Namine are coming back as if it is an opinion. The problem with this is that it is a fact. Bringing those three back is going to be one of the main goals of Kingdom Hearts III.

 

-Nobodies can grow hearts, meaning that they are their own people.

-Sora thought that Roxas should be his own person before finding out that Nobodies can grow hearts.

-Roxas and Ventus are not the same people. Ventus' heart (in a dormant state) went into Roxas' (Sora's) body, influencing his appearance, and giving him the ability to use a second Keyblade at the end of 358/2 Days. That is all. Roxas and Ventus never shared the same heart; Roxas grew his own heart while Ventus' heart was inside his body. The two of them are not going to fuse together, or anything of that nature. The fact that the two of them have the same appearance has nothing to do with it. In the series, people always appear as others remembered them, and Axel/Lea only ever saw Roxas as looking like Ventus, so that is what his appearance will be.

-At the end of the credits to DDD, I recall seeing Roxas, Xion and Ansem the Wise on the same screen. It is somewhat unusual as to why Namine was not depicted (to my knowledge), but she is going to return.

Agreed. I don't get why people argue that the Nobodies and Replica are going to come back. I mean, it's been pretty dang clear since BbS. Coded also touched on this, and DDD even explained how it could happen, via Ansem's Data and stuff like that. Also, there's the fact that Sora's looking for the Key to Return Hearts in III... People are so stubborn. I mean, I don't blame people if they're just confused (as KH is a confusing series), but for the people who are just in denial... I mean, c'mon.

 

Also... I don't get why so many people still think Roxas and Ven are the same. I think they've made it clear hundreds of times that they're not, but whatev. And you know what really sucks: when all the people who haven't played the portable games come back for III, we're going to have to hear things like, "Why are there two Roxases?" all over again. Ugh.

 

Another thing I don't get is why people are so adamant to say Terra is a Light, when MX freakin' states that he's a Darkness. I swear it's just because people don't want Lea and/or Kairi to be a Light, so they're just deluding themselves. Granted, Terra might be saved and become a Light later in the game, but atm he's definitely not, and is actually a Darkness.

 

Edit: Also, now that I think about it, what I said about Terra above also applies to Roxas (besides the him being a Darkness part). Everyone thinks that he's going to be a Light because of the intro of DDD (but when have the intros in KH ever been anything but symbolic? I think they just used Roxas because he's one of the main characters, and has had a game about him like the others have), but as of now... we know that's not the case. It could happen, mind you, but not right away. First off, Roxas needs to be rescued, and then he has to obtain his own Keyblade or something to even be able to fight (as the Keyblade was never his, and when he becomes his own person, he probably won't be able to use it).

 

As of now, the Seven Lights are most likely: Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ventus, Aqua, Mickey, and Lea.

well i begin to wonder why i havent said anything about this yet, but i'm guessing because i assumed that everyone knew already. meh. 

 

the reason wny namine wasnt in that cutscene was because she isn't inside of Sora's heart. Notice how Terra or Aqua weren't in there either. and it's completely obvious that all those three are going to return. i'm just pissed that people are whispering that it's all just SPECULATION because it hasn't been confirmed by Nomura directly. I mean seriously peoples.

it's like as if people need Nomura to actually say that they're returning despite the fact that he has literally been pointing signs and literally showed them by cutscene and made ANSEM THE WISE discuss about them about they're all going to return.

But Terra is being controlled by Xehanort at the moment. He has to be a Darkness. I mean, Mickey lists off the wielders he knows (including Terra in that), and after he says this, MX replies, "But Sora and another on your list belong to me now." Sora is, of course, saved in the end, but Terra is still very clearly a Darkness.

oh you were speaking of the credits? i thought you were talking only about the ending. But it's been assured that Roxas, Xion, Terra, Ven, Aqua, and Namine will return in some way.

at least they will ALL make some major appearance in KH3. ATW did say that Sora has the power to bring back the people connected to his heart that we thought would be gone forever.

Just remembering them might do the trick (in Xion's case, anyway). The same could be said for Terra, Aqua, and Ventus; they don't need to be rescued to have their suffering stop, but that's the best solution for them. As well, without Roxas inside Sora, Sora is imcomplete. Without Xion, Sora can't have his memories, since that's what she was made of; Sora's memories. And without Namine, Kairi is imcomplete. Separating either of them from Sora or Kairi would make the majority of the content in KH2 and 358/2 Days meaningless.

 

I don't deny that Roxas, Xion, and Namine could possibly become their own people (and I do like them all), since DDD clearly states they can, but at this point, until we all play KH3, I'm still keeping my speculations above.

They probably will, but if we're meant to be surprised I expect least one of them to die after they're reborn.

Technically Namine is made from Kairi's heart but Sora's body so yes she's derived from Kairi...

 

Anyways, since all of them grew their own hearts with their own memories maybe with AtW's data they can be given their own bodies after extracting their hearts somehow .. Kairi gave Sora human form even though he was basically a walking heart after she purified him so maybe a body like that might be possible.

then what would the point be for nomura to give them all their own hearts? And the conversation between Roxas and Sora in DDD almost seems to ensure that Roxas deserves to be his own person.
