Posted November 17, 201311 yr I don't know when you'll get this through your firetrucking skulls. The sega thing was more powerful than the nes The neogeo and the like were more powerful than snes Ps1 was weakest of its gen Ps2 was weakest of its gen Wii was weakest of its gen. And yes, it's still top selling
November 17, 201311 yr Dreamcast was the most powerful more than Ps1 Sony didn't enter the console race based on power, otherwise if we compared We can see a huge difference between the in-game graphics of FFIX and Ocarina of time Ps2 was weaker than the first Xbox too But that didn't matter anyway because Sony's consoles had cheaper prices than the Dreamcast,N64,and Xbox and that's a huge reason for why they were selling Weaker hardware=less production cost=cheap price Dude no one here is hating on Sony CALM THE SHIT DOWN.......We get it Sony is God in the form of an Electroic company No one here is saying anything against Sony,we're praising them because they managed to have many great games despite the limitations of the hardware back then Power doesn't matter that much if developers weren't creative I never bought any of my consoles based on their power I bought them because I want to play games that I want to play I have both a Ps3 and a Wii and I'm happy with both especially my Wii Did you just read my post above? And I never said Sony were gods. Lol. In fact the only Sony products I've ever purchased are the PSOne, PS2 & PS3. I won't buy anything else from them. Lol. My TV and Blu-ray player are Panasonic, my smartphone is Smasung and my ultrabook is Dell. I simply go for which ever brand is best at each.

I read your post but everytime we mention a Sony console you go backshit insane just like in this thread and the one before it And numbers doesn't equal love, you can buy only a Ps3 and still love Sony....nothing wrong with loving them as long as you don't go nuts like in this thread You didn't say Sony is the god of gaming, but every post you made says so even if you didn't say it directly
November 17, 201311 yr We can see a huge difference between the in-game graphics of FFIX and Ocarina of time That Ocarina of Time screenshot wasnt taken from the N64 tho..
November 17, 201311 yr That Ocarina of Time screenshot wasnt taken from the N64 tho.. it's not the 3DS remake,it's the N64 version and even if it's taken from an N64 emulator or an n64 itself it won't matter...the difference is clear and before someone points out CGI cutscenes,I'm talking about in-game,not CG cutscenes

November 17, 201311 yr I apologize, in the posts I made on this topic I wasn't thinking clearly. I was annoyed. What I posted here was wrong, I'll admit that. My true thoughts can be found here: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/66065-i-wonder-which-will-win-the-new-gen-of-consoles/?p=1292538 As you can see in my true thoughts, I never once mentioned power, I mentioned hardware. In my annoyance I confused the two on this topic. But in that link are my true thoughts.
November 17, 201311 yr Popular Post That Ocarina of Time screenshot wasnt taken from the N64 tho.. It's a poor example to compare it to FFIX as well. FFIX's size taken into consideration and also it's art style (intentionally going for that more 32-bit look) Compare it to something like Metal Gear Solid, or Resident Evil and the whole point of that post has no ground to stand on. But that's beside the point. I agree with Cucco here, hardware has never been the true selling point behind consoles. You don't even have to argue the semantics of which consoles were more powerful to understand that... all you have to do is look at the Wii. The Wii was a console hardly any more powerful then the Gamecube. It didn't even output in full HD resolution. It was so far behind the PS3 and XBOX 360 that it's laughable... and yet it sold like hotcakes. Not because of it's power, not even because of it's gimmick, but because of how accesible it was. A consoles true selling points comes down to how accessible it is, how friendly it is to consumers, how good the games are that are coming out for it or that you can look forward to on it, and when it really comes down to it, how rabid and/or loyal (pick one.) it's fanbase is. And a word to Sora96... how about instead of living in constant denial of certain facts, you just accept that not everyone is going to blindly agree with your percieved notions of Sony's absolute perfection. Fact of the matter is it's not Sony's hardware power alone that has kept them going strong for the past three generations of gaming. (Even though the PS3 and the PS4 both have the 360 and One beat, respectively... correct me if I'm wrong?) Sony won out not for sheer power alone, but because of accessibility... Other facts that you are denial of is how Sony has borrowed concepts. Playstation Move in the wake of the Wii... PSVita/PS4 connection through remote play that so resembles the Wii U... the original Playstation controller being little more then an SNES controller with handles. But even that is not a fault that lies in Sony, in fact, it's not a fault at all. It's a good thing. Taking one concept and refining it is how we've got to be where we are today in gaming. I know that has nothing to do with this thread, that's a whole other seperate tangent. I digress.
November 17, 201311 yr Weaker systems typically do sell more cause they're generally "family friendly" rather than "hardcore" that dedicated gamers would go for. When your 3 year old cousin, teenage daughter, father and aging grandma can all find a game that caters to them on one system they're clearly gonna get more use than buying one that can play really fancy strategy games for the one person in the family who cares for that. Wii's whole marketing strategy was catering to the whole family. Wii is basically "Mass Marketing". Aimed at a lot of people, at a low price. The PS3 and 360 were "Niche marketing". Aimed at a smaller specific clientele, at a high price.
November 19, 201311 yr Im just going to say the N64 was more powerful, and both the gamecube and Xbox were more powerful, not an opinion just cold hard fact. Also @Sora96 you say what you said in this topic was a mistake and then provide a link to another topic saying that is your true feelings. But I read the same nonsense in that topic as well, with you saying PS is better and Nintendo always has the worst hardware.
