Square Enix, the only game company I'd pay this much for games

Featured Replies

Perhaps it's just EBGames. They have X|X-2 for $60

The only Square games worth paying anything more than maybe $30 on are Kingdom Hearts and The World Ends With You, honestly. :/

Nah, these are the normal prices across Australian stores.

Lol. For one The World Ends With You is less than that. And I love X, X-2 & XIII.

I know it is, I was saying those are the only one's I'd be willing to spend that much on. X is also good, but I don't think I'd want to spend too much on it.

Oh. Whell then

You get more than just X, you get the interlude video, X-2, Last Mission and a special text based cutscene that goes for like 30 minutes.

Yeah, but I hated X-2. The rest are okay additions, X is the only reason I want to get the collection though.

Why did you hate X-2?

Why did you hate X-2?

Too much fanservice, and it completely ruined the great storyline of X. The gameplay was frustrating, too.

How was the gameplay frustrating?

How was there too much fanservice?

XIII-2 ruined XIII's story.

Despite what you people think is good or worth spending thirty bucks on or whatever else, I think everyone can agree that $90 is a bit much.

(@Blaxel and Sora96: You two argue about FF games every chance you get (and don't say it's not arguing because nine times out of ten it devolves into arguing). It's getting annoying. Plus it's off topic.)

I'm spending $90 because that's what all stores in Australia are charging. And I want the special case and DLC.

Oh. Whell then. I guess that's alright since that's the norm over there, but to me it sounds like a lot

So are we talking about in terms of a game it self as in just a standard regular copy? And excluding collector editions and stuff like limited edition version of a game?

Because the most I've ever spent on a game before was for Halo Reach the legendary edition which was $150. The 2nd most expensive thing would be a toss up between Halo 4's limited edition and FF-XIII2 with the collectors edition guide book which were both around the 80-90 price range.

I linked you to the game's page on EB Games.

Seriously. $90 for LIGHTNING RETURNS. https://ebgames.com.au/ps3-160651-Lightning-Returns-Final-Fantasy-XIII-PlayStation-3

I've never paid that much for a video game before. I got XIII-2 for $15. Lol.

And if you add https://ebgames.com.au/ps3-163152-Final-Fantasy-X--X-2-HD-Remaster-Limited-Edition-PlayStation-3

That's $150 over about a month for games from Square Enix.

My point is,there are higher prices than what you've listed....just sayin

That's a higher price because it includes that jacket and it's a special edition.

That's about as much as we pay in any game here in Brazil, sadly ://

It's £40 where I live, which is 64US dollars and 71.02 Australian Dollars.  And that's £40 with

"Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook and downloadable Cloud Strife/Final Fantasy VII Gear!"

£40 doesn't feel a lot to me.  I still don't want it right now though.

In Australia on average people are paid more for the same job than other places in the world cause the cost of living is more expensive (or, cost of living is so expensive because they have been getting paid more for the same jobs).  So it kinda balances out, they pay more for things but they get paid more in the first place.

What the hell? 90$ for a game? LOL! That site is really robbing the users. Amazong is seelign that game for 50$!

Lol. No. That's how much we pay for video games here in Australia.
