I'm just sooooooo happy today because I FINNALY got a shiny Pokémon using the Poké Radar. Not only my first Pokémon in XY but my first one of all! I had other shinies before but they were Pokémon that people gave me or others like the shiny Gyarados. I've been trying Poké Radar but I never succeed.

And I don't care if it's just a Bunnelby, for me it's very special

 

So, have you ever caught a shiny Pokémon? What was the first one?

 

EDIT: I just caught my second one, a golden Magikarp! With the fishing method it wasn't difficult but a bit tiring after an hour fishing again and again. But worth it!

Congrats.  I got my first shiny by luck.  A shiny spoink just came out of no where.  I wasn't going to catch one but I did anyway.

Poké Radar is better in this game. Once you learn how to use it, it's not so difficult. But you need patience, skill and a bit of good luck

My first was the obvious infamous red Gyarados. Then came the glorious RNG abuse which granted me all my shiny Pokemon desires. The end.  :tongue:

There were double battles in gen 4? Wasn't it in gen 5? Anyway I thought you could catch it if only one remains, like in the horde battles in Pokemon XY. Truly my first wild shiny Pokémon was in BW2, a Deerling and it was in a double battle. But it kill itself because it failed High Jump Kick. I almost cried

I was talking about wild double battles, and yeah I forgot there were those seccions. I think you can catch it if there is only one Pokemon left, so you kill the other one and catch the other, but I'm not sure.

Keep up! I was like that too, I tried and tried for some days and it always broke but today I finally did it. I recomend you to stop for a bit, it is tiring so stop for a few days or so and try again, you'll see, it will be better.

The only two shinies I got in my entrie life aside from the Red Gyarados were:A shiny Ratata on Pokemon Gold

 

And a shiny Joltik in White 2
