Tails 6,692 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) So are there anything that has beaten any KH game without Switching to a different keyblade and ONLY using the one that you have gotten since the beginning of said Kingdom Hearts game? For challenge, yup I have lol. I usually do it after beating the game on my first playthrough on Proud/Critical Mode lol. Then I just play the game again in the hardest mode with only using the first keyblade I have just to make thing more interesting and challenging. LeYenrz 276 Posted January 8, 2014 yep. I've seen my youngest brother do it as well. The funny thing was that he had no idea that you could equip other keyblades. 2 143436611Xxcc and Jilly Shears reacted to this
Tails 6,692 Posted January 8, 2014 yep. I've seen my youngest brother do it as well. The funny thing was that he had no idea that you could equip other keyblades. Haha I see. I've done the same thing when I first played KH1 back in 2002. I beat the etire game with only using the kingdom key and didn't realize I could switch keyblades until on my second or third playthrough.
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted January 8, 2014 Yup. On principle, I don't usually switch from the Kingdom Key, anyway.
Queen Tery 4,591 Posted January 8, 2014 Yeah I did it on KH FM HD for the trophy, alongside beating the game in less than 15 hours (I believe less than 7 hours to be exact), and not changing any of my equipment whatsoever. I think I was on Beginner Mode though. 2 PillowHead and King Riku reacted to this
ShadowRacer 1 Posted January 8, 2014 I've done it for KHI and KHII, since I've beaten the games so many times I just wanted to see if it would provide an extra challenge.
Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted January 8, 2014 Its been a requirement in all challenge playthroughs I've done.
Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted January 8, 2014 Well no I haven't . I prefer playing the game's storyline with the maximum the game can give me . 1 143436611Xxcc reacted to this
juma086 263 Posted January 8, 2014 Did it for the unchanging armor trophy. Don't like using weak-ass equipment for challenge. If I use the strongest I have and it's still hard, THAT'S a challenge.
Velvet Scarlatina 607 Posted January 8, 2014 I accidentally did this for KH2; I constantly kept forgetting to switch keyblades and just ended up doing everything with the Kingdom Key.
saintsghost 40 Posted January 8, 2014 I have never beaten it with that, but when I played the first game I didn't know you could change the keyblade into different forms so i ended up playing most of the game with only the kingdom key. Might be why it was so hard to play the game. For the longest time I was wondering what the heck the keychains were I was getting or whatever because I could not find it at the time until one day stumbled onto it. Kingdom Hearts was the first time i had ever played a game like it, so I was unfamiliar with a lot of how the gameplay works, and it was also my fist square enix game and how I discovered Final Fantasy existed. Demyx. 10,064 Posted January 8, 2014 i was doing it in khfm in 1.5. but then i got bored 1 PillowHead reacted to this
TheKingdomkid 1,194 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) I almost beat all of Kingdom Hearts 2 without changing Keyblades or putting on other equipment because I had no Idea where you had to do in order to change them I got to The World That Never Was and I believe I beat Xigbar before I knew how you can change them and by then I was like well I already made it this far might as well end it with just the Kingdom Key. Also I had to do it in 1.5 because of a trophy and I did it on Proud lol Edited January 8, 2014 by TheKingdomkid
Snow 1,800 Posted January 8, 2014 I did it on Proud mode without switching from the Kingdom Key.It was a difficult playthrough indeed.
Caity 3,946 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) KH2. I didn't know you could. I thought the keychains I got were just collectables so I had the kingdom key til the end. KH2 was my first game in the series. Edit: And I will be doing it in KH1FM in 1.5 after my exams Edited January 8, 2014 by Caity Raindrop 1 PillowHead reacted to this

Orchestrafanboy19 101 Posted January 8, 2014 I always do. I like beating the game with Kingdom Key because it looks the best in cutscenes. It also adds a nice challenge.
xoblivionx13 1,133 Posted January 8, 2014 Nope. Although, the first time I played KH2 I never knew you could switch Keyblades until my second visit to The Land of Dragons (I didn't even know how to access the menu button until then either).
AntonioKHT 449 Posted January 8, 2014 I did that on KHFM for the trophy (which means no other equipment as well), on Proud . It was challenging, but not that much though I also did that on KH2, but it's definitely not the same thing. Kh2 is way too easy... By the way, I wish there was some sort of feature that would let us battle with any Keyblade but would show Kingdom Key in the cutscenes. Some of them don't fit well with decisive moments
143436611Xxcc 1,105 Posted January 8, 2014 Na, I rather complete the actual storyline, and get all the in game extras.

Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted January 8, 2014 While I will agree that the Kingdom Key is one of the best looking Keyblades for cutscenes, I just never had it in me to even attempt just using the Kingdom Key all the way through KH2. Oh well...
Tigerruss 576 Posted January 8, 2014 I simply never had a desire to only use the Kingdom Key. I see the point in doing it, but I just like using other keyblades.
