Have You Ever Beaten A KH Game Without Switching Keyblades?

Posted

So are there anything that has beaten any KH game without Switching to a different keyblade and ONLY using the one that you have gotten since the beginning of said Kingdom Hearts game? For challenge, yup I have lol. I usually do it after beating the game on my first playthrough on Proud/Critical Mode lol. Then I just play the game again in the hardest mode with only using the first keyblade I have just to make thing more interesting and challenging.

yep. I've seen my youngest brother do it as well. The funny thing was that he had no idea that you could equip other keyblades.

Haha I see. I've done the same thing when I first played KH1 back in 2002. I beat the etire game with only using the kingdom key and didn't realize I could switch keyblades until on my second or third playthrough.

Yup. On principle, I don't usually switch from the Kingdom Key, anyway.

Yeah I did it on KH FM HD for the trophy, alongside beating the game in less than 15 hours (I believe less than 7 hours to be exact), and not changing any of my equipment whatsoever. I think I was on Beginner Mode though.

I've done it for KHI and KHII, since I've beaten the games so many times I just wanted to see if it would provide an extra challenge.

Its been a requirement in all challenge playthroughs I've done.

Well no I haven't . I prefer playing the game's storyline with the maximum the game can give me .

Did it for the unchanging armor trophy. Don't like using weak-ass equipment for challenge. If I use the strongest I have and it's still hard, THAT'S a challenge.

I accidentally did this for KH2; I constantly kept forgetting to switch keyblades and just ended up doing everything with the Kingdom Key.

I have never beaten it with that, but when I played the first game I didn't know you could change the keyblade into different forms so i ended up playing most of the game with only the kingdom key. Might be why it was so hard to play the game. For the longest time I was wondering what the heck the keychains were I was getting or whatever because I could not find it at the time until one day stumbled onto it. Kingdom Hearts was the first time i had ever played a game like it, so I was unfamiliar with a lot of how the gameplay works, and it was also my fist square enix game and how I discovered Final Fantasy existed.

i was doing it in khfm in 1.5. but then i got bored

I almost beat all of Kingdom Hearts 2 without changing Keyblades or putting on other equipment because I had no Idea where you had to do in order to change them I got to The World That Never Was and I believe I beat Xigbar before I knew how you can change them and by then I was like well I already made it this far might as well end it with just the Kingdom Key.

Also I had to do it in 1.5 because of a trophy and I did it on Proud lol

I did it on Proud mode without switching from the Kingdom Key.It was a difficult playthrough indeed.

KH2.  I didn't know you could.  I thought the keychains I got were just collectables so I had the kingdom key til the end.  KH2 was my first game in the series.

Edit: And I will be doing it in KH1FM in 1.5 after my exams

6:50 something SSSUUUCCCCKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAA

I always do. I like beating the game with Kingdom Key because it looks the best in cutscenes. It also adds a nice challenge.

Nope. Although, the first time I played KH2 I never knew you could switch Keyblades until my second visit to The Land of Dragons (I didn't even know how to access the menu button until then either).

I did that on KHFM for the trophy (which means no other equipment as well), on Proud . It was challenging, but not that much though xD

I also did that on KH2, but it's definitely not the same thing. Kh2 is way too easy...

By the way, I wish there was some sort of feature that would let us battle with any Keyblade but would show Kingdom Key in the cutscenes. Some of them don't fit well with decisive moments xP

Na, I rather complete the actual storyline, and get all the in game extras.

I'm in the middle of a critical playthrough with just the Kingdom Key and Way to the Dawn. It's still pretty easy...Although, I have the best Dream Eaters you can get in the game.

lol nope

While I will agree that the Kingdom Key is one of the best looking Keyblades for cutscenes, I just never had it in me to even attempt just using the Kingdom Key all the way through KH2. :( Oh well...

I simply never had a desire to only use the Kingdom Key. I see the point in doing it, but I just like using other keyblades.

To get Platinum, I had to- still working on that platinum though... >.>

I've never really bothered to try, but I will when I get 1.5 for that trophy. I could definitely do it, I just don't feel like it. That, and I hate feeling super weak. :/
