There are a lot of mixed feelings about what the intro to KH3 should be. As in, a new song from Utada, a new song not from Utada, or just one of the two we've already used. 

 

I remember when the intro for Kingdum Harts Birthby sleep was released, and a rock/kinda metal song was used for it. Almost everybody hated it. Not long after it was changed back to Simple and Clean. 

 

So my question is, how would guys feel about using a Utada song we've already used, but have a different singer. Also say which singer you would like to sing.

I'll be pretty disappointed if they just reuse one of the old songs cause I've listened to them to death(though I still love them). I don't know if a cover would be right; most people will either complain that it killed the song or that it wasn't good enough/different enough to not have just gone with the original.  BUT maybe if the used multiple artist in one song it could work.

 

I think they would have a better chance making a new song with someone with a similar voice if Utada herself doesn't want to do it.

 

Still Alive by Lisa Miskovsky is pretty similar so I wouldn't mind if they made a new song like that but maybe with a bit faster tempo.

Though with these artist they'll still need one for a Japanese version so they'll probably go for another billigual Japanese singer. I can think of a few anime songs I like but not sure which of them could also sing in English.( and I've posted enough already )

Besides KH3 needs a whole new song.

I actually suggested Final Distance but apparently it's wrong to have a very fitting remix of an old song by Utada. Everyone would rather have a completely new song, which for me Final Distance would be new in terms of KH.

I really liked the use of the orchestral Hikari/Simple and Clean for the intro of DDD, what about using the orchestral Passion/Sanctuary for KH3?

I really think that it's time for a new song.  Here's hoping that we actually get one, though I would definitely prefer it if Utada sang it once more.  Kingdom Hearts has already undergone so many changes, and, in my opinion, it really doesn't need more.

I really felt DDD should have been KHIII's intro. They told the story of the entire series and set it to one of the most poignant pieces of the sountrack. I don't know how they'll top DDDs so I don't mind what they do.

 

But I'll never get tired of Simple and Clean and Passion. Either one's fine. We're still in the Xehanort saga after all.

Personally, I think Utada is the only singer fitting for kh3. So, if Utada is willing to come back(and they don't write a new song)Then I think it should definitely be one of these songs by her.

The beginning sounds a bit like sanctuary 0:18 and simple and clean 1:20

Which ties the numbered titles together in a way.

I don't know why i think these are fitting I just...do. They just feel right.

However, "heart station" and "goodbye happiness" are a little slow and I'm yet to find a good remix of them.

 

If utada doesn't come back,(Which would be sadface ) then there are other Japanese singers to choose from. One option is AKB48. They are popular in japan and have good terms with Disney. The wrote "sugar rush" just for wreck it ralph. So with a little nudging by disney they could write a fitting one for kh3. Although, to be honest id prefer a single singer instead of a group.

 

 

I still doubt square would use any singer from outside japan for KH. Sure, they used leona lewis for FF13 but thats FF13. Plus, it's pretty much the only time that's happened. Possible, but unlikely.

Well, I was thinking that if Utada didn't come back for Kingdom Hearts 3, then Sanctuary should be used, since Simple and Clean has been overused to the brink of collapse.  And if Nomura doesn't plan to put either of those songs, then I'd like for Ayumi Hamasaki to make a new theme song for the game.  She has a beautiful voice, and she sang the intro theme for the Tales Of Xilia game.  But yeah, only time will tell what happens.  And I knew that BBS originally had a different song!  I just knew it!  I remember hearing it when I first saw the trailer for BBS so many years ago!  I could have sworn that the song was called "My Soldier." or something along those lines.  But yeah, anyways, the whole theme song debacle might be clarified in the not so distant future.

I'm actually pretty sure that if Utada didn't make a new song for KH3, I'd be even more disappointed than the night I totaled my precious car and had to push it through a 4 foot flood with the doors open, water level above the seats, while it was pouring down rain.

 

I'm not even shitting you that I'd hate not having a new song by Utada even more than that dreadful night.
