Hopefully this wasn't talked about too much, and if it was, sorry and if someone already talked about this theory, sorry again. But this is how I think Eraqus's Keyblade ended up on Destiny Island.

 

As most of you probably know, the last person that had Eraqus Keyblade was Aqua and the last place she is in as far as we know is the Realm of Darkness, so how could this possibly of ended up on Destiny Island? Well...

 

In Kingdom Hearts II, Kairi wrote a letter to Sora and she put it in a bottle and put it in the sea, hoping it would reach Sora one day, at the end of KHII, when Sora and Riku are in the Realm of Darkness on the beach (where Aqua is shown at the end of BBS/DDD) Sora recieves the letter, I am thinking Aqua puts the keyblade in the sea, hoping it would somehow get to Destiny Island and it did from what we seen in the first E3 trailer.

This may not be correct, but I think Nomura said in an interview that Eraqus's keyblade being on Destiny Island was merely a symbolic scene, as opposed to something that actually happens.Edit: This was in the July 2 interview in Famitsu with Nomura: 

---Even just from watching the Shadows in the trailer moving we certainly can tell that the enemies have evolved. And, on the other side, Sora has gained powers befitting a 'Keyblade Master', hasn't he? Will he be able to transform his Keyblade?

Nomura: In this stage of testing he can transform it. By the way, in the trailer, Sora picks up the Keyblade belonging to Master Eraqus that Aqua had. We put that together in order to remind you of the story of KHIII, as this time we weren't able to prepare a scene that would show you a portion of the drama.So it seems like that scene was made simply to remind the fans of everything up to this point.  But it doesn't really confirm 100% that it won't actually happen.

Not a bad theory, but you have to keep in mind this is a teaser trailer, but sure, this theory sounds nice.  Only Nomura can confirm if Eraqus's Keyblade plays a major part in the game.

But if Sora has Keyboard master abilities... What Da heck happened? He didn't make master in 3D. I think it's just a hype trailer. We'll have to wait and see (how many times have we heard that from me??)
