I wish we lived in a society where gay people didn't have to explain their sexuality to people. Your inadvertently making it a big deal by making it a big announcement. If we could all treat it like the normal thing it is, then we'd all truly be happy. Good for you though for realizing who you are :)

It is a good thing that you finally admit that.

It's too bad some people judge others only by their sexuality, but if you feel fine because you finally accepted that part of you then congrats.

Awesome! Congrats!

Yo seriously screw whoever dislikes you because you're bi because they're idiots. All this means is you've doubled your chances of marrying someone hot. Good luck coming out~

Congrats, I came out years ago and it went a lot smoother then I expected, Now I don't really feel the need to announce it and things go really smooth, Like, I'll be talking to some friend I lost touch with for years that I never actually came out to (and who I know for a fact never even suspected I was gay) and i'll be talking about getting together with some guy I like and the fist time I mentioned him its was like "Awesome, that's great!" No "What? Your're gay?" Just a normal conversation.

Anyway, I'm happy for you but one question. What if you fall for someone of the same sex, enough to marry them and you haven't told your family?

Just something to think about.

Good question...I'd tell them. They'd have to get over it, or disown me. They'd probably disown me, with the exception of maybe 3 people.

Well, If they really love you, they'll accept you, if they don't, then they have no right to call themselves your family anyway.

Fool. Not a big deal.

Meh, true. It was for me because of all the homophobes in my family. I was troubled for a long time.

It's saddening how nowadays, people are so restrained when it comes to this issue. People feel the need to make it a big deal that they're the part of a sexual minority and they're bracing themselves for a blow that they fear will come from loved ones. Well, if that is what your situation is, don't feel too bad about it! It's okay to say that you're bi. And anyone that gets in your face for saying that is a simpleton.

But now that you've realized who you are, that's just fine. Don't let anyone suppress you into thinking something that you're not. If your view upon yourself changes, that's completely fine.

I wish you luck.

Well , everyone is free to believe and be whatever they want without , of course, affecting their surroundings .

Congrats.

*stands and applauds*

Glad you can accept yourself as is.  This issue has too much controversy these days.

I, for one, am glad you were able to accept your feelings, regardless of who judged you.

:)

I read the title as "Confess Something" and I thought this would be a thread where we all confess a few secrets without fear of judgement. Boy, that would be something.

But congratulations!

OFF TOPIC:

Someone should make that a thread.

@topic: Still proud you accepted yourself, Shard!
