Nomura has to implement death in KH sooner or later

Posted

And before you say he can't.Dude Disney movies had many death scenes and some of them are even shown in KH like the death of Mufasa in the Lion King has been shown in the Pridelands's opening in KH2

Heck,Barbossa has been killed at the end of Pirate of the Carribean's  Port Royal in KH2

And I know I know that Kerchak's death scene has been totally retconned in KH1's deep jungle, but Clayton did die

I doubt that every single person in the Kh universe who gets killed become a heartless and a nobody,it has to be limited to the mechanics that had been introduced about their birth in the previous games

Someone has to die, sacrifices have to be made...Eraqus should stay dead and never come back otherwise it'll be(spoiler in white) like how Hope's mother was brought back to life in Shitning Returns FFXIII and I don't want any inspiration from that piece of shit to be in my Kingdom Hearts

Disney isn't new to the subject of death as so many Disney movies had their own death scenes. And Kingdom Hearts has to let someone die if they want to keep the story going and have more chances to introduce more characters to the series

The opening isn't canon to who the lights will be. So maybe not. We don't know

It looks like its going to be:

Sora

Lea

Kairi

Aqua

Ventus

Mickey

Riku

She ISN'T human, BUT She is one of my favorite characters and the fact that she isn't human isn't a bad thing. She can grow her own heart and personality. Her death mattered alot to me. As of right now she is a part of sora/kairi.

LeaAxel just got his Keyblade and he didn't even use it when he rescued Sora,I doubt Lea is one of the seven lights,he can held but I really and highly doubt he's part of that

In fact I want him to go back to his chakrams than having a keyblade....LeaAxel is my second favorite character in the KH series, but honestly giving him a keyblade was pointless

I wouldn't be so sure. Yen Sid is training them. They may be as strong as CoM Sora or a little more.

But, I understand your point. Maybe Lea could transform his Keyblade in his chakrams. Keyblade transformations will be a feature in kh3.

I swear, if someone suggests that Kairi should die because "shes useless and might as well off herself and make the story interesting because Sora and Riku lol" I'm gonna flip.

I thought technically Xion did die. Her existence wiped and everyone forgot about her [almost everyone] I miss her :

Yeah, I don't want any of the SRK trio to die. If was Riku, Sora, Kairi... I would be in so much pain. I like Riku alot and Sora and Kairi are my favorite characters.

The three of them are Best friends :''<

Theres always that ONE fan though :/

I never said anyone from the original trio should die,not ever Kairi

For some reason I thought you meant the Final Fantasy spell.

What if Kairi's grandmother died? I mean that only time we actually saw her was in BBS. In KH1 with the flashback, she "disappears" in front of Kairi and is never seen again. She could've died of either old age or a different cause... (Xehanort?) But yea, who do I think will die in KH3?...

- Master Yen Sid

- Ansem the Wise (again :P)

- Riku

- One-few of the Organization members

And definitely Xehanort without a doubt. If he ever returns, it'd probably be a ghost version or a monster kind like they did with Sora heartless.

And they'll probably pull a thing where a Disney character gets badly injured that it looks like he/she died *cough*Goofy*. So ya, they'll probably do that again to make the game more emotional :P

I personally thought there should be a death 'cause it's at a point now if anyone dies it's like "Oh they'll be a heartless and a nobody, just kill them and bring them back to life!".  Death has lost meaning in the series and you would look at it like oh, wonder when they'll pop up again.  I personally thought one of TAV should die (Terra specifically, since he has already been a heartless and a nobody and it doesn't work twice far as I know).  More drama would be Kairi or Riku (since Sora will always be the main protagonist)

You could make the argument that the mere presence of Hades already means that death has been implemented...

As long as my boy Riku doesn't get offed, I think I can live with more deaths.

Though, really, the concept of death is really skewed in this series. People don't actually "die", their Hearts are carried away to the Realm of Darkness and can be reborn just as easily as long as their Hearts and whatever is left over (A Nobody, or in Terra's case (I guess) his Will in the Keyblade Armor) are brought back together. Hell, the main villain of this series had his Heartless AND his Nobody killed... and yet he was able to come back to life. And if that's not bad enough, his younger self from the past came in to throw yet another monkey wrench into the mix. Geez whiz.

Why do I get the feeling that Nomura will kill Riku in 3 just to be a jerk? ; _ ;     ._.

Anyway, isn't it possible that, people-Citizens-in Radiant Garden and Destiny Islands died when they(The worlds) fell to darkness?

You know, I like this topic very much.  You touch on some very true aspects, because it is true that in Disney films, characters do die, and some of the more graphic deaths are shown from another perspective as to not disturb the kiddies.  But yes, I agree that there should be more deaths in the series, but in a way that seems emotional and full of impact rather than forced or tacked on.  If there are to be deaths, they have to make them resonate with the player in a way that is unforgettable. For instance, I keep on thinking that in Kingdom Hearts 3, during the final battle with Master Xehanort, something will inevitably happen that leaves our heroes hanging by a thread, and then Terra, seeing the opportunity to redeem himself for everything that his submission to darkness caused, selflessly gives his own life to give Sora and friends one last chance to take out the evil mastermind.  Other than that, I can't imagine of any other of the characters dying.  But yeah, Nomura being the smart troll he is, I'm sure he'll pull something unexpected and slap us in the face and say: "Haha mother lovers, you weren't expecting this!  This is your reward for waiting for KH3!"  We will hate him for it, and we will love him for it, lol.  xD

Also, Pirates of the Carribean's is more of a "grown-up" world, "normal" Disney movies don't kill off characters, like seriously.

Have you seen Bambi?

I find the issue of introducing characters which shouldn't be there in the first place Cough Xion Cough

The fact that no one ever stays permanently dead in this series is pretty freaking annoying.

Why does someone have to die?

I know, right?

I know, right?

Seriously some KH fans have death fetish or something lol.

Disney do hate death though, you'll always find characters living on in some way in their things.

LeaAxel just got his Keyblade and he didn't even use it when he rescued Sora,I doubt Lea is one of the seven lights,he can held but I really and highly doubt he's part of that

yeah, they're giving out keyblades to characters like crazy now

Xehanort is going to die. Derp.

: *goes to cry in the corner*

But isn't it all about Nomura's logic ?

Have you seen Bambi?

Sora and Kairi would kill mutilate Xehanort if their best friend died D:

Then cry in front of everyone

Then everyone would cry with them

Then every fan playing the game would cry

A lot of the time. Death seems pointless and seems to be lazy writing. Same goes with things being "darker". What is interesting is making a story different than other stories around. Kingdom Hearts is a fun light hearted game with a serious tone. Which makes it more unique and enjoyable. Every other game out there (pretty much) is more dark. It just gets boring. I don't see why KH needs to be more like everything else out there.
