We're just a little ways into May, but let us take a look back on all of the Kingdom Hearts craziness we've gotten so far this year:

January
-Haley Joel Osment CONFIRMS that he has talked with Square Enix and hopes to return as Sora for Kingdom Hearts III.
-A vague bit of dialogue reveals a loose connection between Kingdom Hearts III and Japan exclusive Kingdom Hearts X.
-Nomura mentions how difficult it is to develop for PS4, since so much can be accomplished.
February
-Square Enix confirms Kingdom Hearts III will not be releasing in 2014.
-Shinji Hashimoto attends Japan's PS4 Launch event to ask everyone to "please wait a little longer" for Kingdom Hearts III.
March
-Kingdom Hearts card case revealed.
-Square Enix conducts a "Kingdom Hearts Players Survey".
-Kingdom Hearts II rubber straps revealed.
-Additional voice recording for Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMix has been completed.
-Nomura has adopted a cat.
-Vector to the Heavens and Dearly Beloved tracks confirmed for "memoria!" album.
-Yosuke Matsuda thinks Square Enix will be able to share Kingdom Hearts III information at E3.
April
-Editing for Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMix has finished and Shinji Hashimoto believes information concerning the title should be coming "soon".
-Japanese Xbox website devotes page to Kingdom Hearts III under the games that are soon to come.

I'm sorry, but this is just a pathetic amount of news. This is not a slam on this site, but on Square Enix. Any decent bit of decent news had to be asked, "Official Square Enix News" only concerns pushing merchandise, and many of their usual "soon" promises filled these first four months of the year. Kingdom Hearts is their 2nd most profitable franchise, the series has two games in the pipeline (three if you count Kingdom Hearts X), and we have received nothing substantial at all so far. I don't care if you want to focus the spotlight on games currently releasing, or if this is some part of a master marketing strategy, Kingdom Hearts is its own series, and Square is leaving its fan base high and dry with nothing to go on. Get your act together Square Enix.

We've really had nothing that big so far, and we're almost halfway into the year. -_- I honestly stopped being super crazy excited for 2.5 just because they're not saying anything about it (That and I still need a PS3, but eh).

I know. I think they could at least release more play arts figures, because we still don't have many of the characters, like Aqua, or Xion, and we only have Kairi in her school uniform, when Sora got all of his drive forms as different figures except for anti-form. And they just released star-trek play arts. Dafauq

They really shouldn't take that long of a time with 2.5 HD since the amount of cutscenes to deal with in Re:Coded are way less than 3582 days

 

With that said though,I've replayed KH2 and the Japanese KH2FM over 10 times on my Ps2 so I'm not in a hurry nor in a hype either

Exactly, they're taking way too freaking long to make this game. Square's been getting way lazier over the years, which is really frustrating. "Please be excited" and "Please wait a little longer" aren't real excuses to just not want to say anything about your games. I mean, companies like Nintendo or Game Freak have constant updates about their games, and it just makes fans MORE excited. Why Square doesn't do the same thing is beyond me. Not to mention, I seem to remember them having a lot more updates for 1.5 than we've seen for 2.5...

 

I haven't played the FM versions of KHII or BBS yet, so that's the main reason why I'm looking forward to 2.5. Of course, like I said earlier, I'm not even that excited anymore since Square's neglecting the KH fans at this point...

Exactly, they're taking way too freaking long to make this game. Square's been getting way lazier over the years, which is really frustrating. "Please be excited" and "Please wait a little longer" aren't real excuses to just not want to say anything about your games. I mean, companies like Nintendo or Game Freak have constant updates about their games, and it just makes fans MORE excited. Why Square doesn't do the same thing is beyond me. Not to mention, I seem to remember them having a lot more updates for 1.5 than we've seen for 2.5...

Well,Pokemon already took the spot of my Number 1 franchise,sure Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite video game of all time,but Pokemon in general is my favorite franchise.Heck I battle daily on Showdown just to try new team combinations that I can raise and win with in X&Y wifi battles

Pokemon's an incredibly close second for me, and lately I've been thinking that I might actually like it more than KH. KH1's still my favorite game ever, though. As for the competitive battling, I really want to try to get back into that. :

We could at LEAST get a preview or something...

I'm not even THAT excited anymore for 2.5 to be honest. It's taking so long that I kinda forgot about it.
