At four points around the mountain known as Evraius the Teragren captains went over the situation once more to be sure there was no confusion; this was a volunteer mission, there was a high risk of death, and once the climbers passed the Teragen gates onto the premises of Evraius they were no longer under the protection of the Teragren army, and nobody would help but the rest of their team members.Of the 19 volunteers that passed the test to be accepted into the Evraius mission there were now four teams, each of 4 or 5 people. The army had brought them to the four gates that separated Evraius from the Kingdom of Teragren. The strategy was that they may be more effective if they could split the Kamyn attention and thus have a better survival rate. Now the four teams sat at their respective gates, facing the world changing mountain that would be their future; Evraius. The teams were split up in the following ways:Gold Team, made up of Drale Vay, Amber Dolor, Cornelius Bastion, and Sandrew.Silver Team, made up of Sonya Bishop, Kinzoku Mors, Averain, and Jasper SummersIron Team, made up of Alice Thornsberry, Emert Berger, Morgan Etiam Vinctum, and Doctor Pellinore WartropPlatinum Team, made up of Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi KozakuraEach of the gates rumbled opened painfully and slowly, with a history of destruction and cruelty beyond their metal bars."Okay." Each captain spoke to the respective teams as they mounted their horses once again and steered back toward the road."You all have 5 minutes to greet your new teammates and enter the gates. The magical locks will automatically close them again after that point. There won't be any returning until you have something substantial to return with." The gist of each captain's parting words were. They had all rehearsed together so the information would be similar for each group. It also helped mask the fear. And then each group was left alone, each with a gate and a beaten dirt path beyond it sitting before them. It was time to start the introductions and get going. It was time to start the climb.Watching every gate through spectral projections, Adriev pondered. He stood in a pure white room with 5 others. After watching the four teams for a few moments he turned to his peers: Efenton, Girver, Dante, and Vortimer. Only one was missing."So..." He spoke slowly, weighing every word. "What shall we do about this?"

"I suppose we should introduce ourselves. I'll start. My name is Drale Vay." Said Drale. "So, your names are? I'm going to assume we all have some form of magical abilities. I can do this, what can you do?" After saying that, he picks up his shadow, and molds it into a sword. "And if you think that is cool, wait until tonight." He then drops his sword, and it forms into his shadow.

Varion Hain:

Platinum team, huh? Varion glanced at his teammates. None of them he recognized. Of course not. All of those he did know were long dead. That's why he was here. To get some revenge over the people he had lost.

"Well guys, I'm Varion." He said, deciding to try and start the introductions, "Should we say, discuss what we can do? I would suppose that would be best, so we know what we are all capable of. I can use Alchemy. If you don't know what that is, here's a little demonstration."

Varion got down on one knee and pressed both of his palms against the earth. With a flash, a little bit of dirt had been fashioned into a brown figurine. "With Alchemy, I can turn anything into nearly anything else--whether it be shape or composition. I was trained by my uncle to do it."

Emert Berger:

Iron team. It suited Emert--being a man that held the same strong qualities of the metal. Plus, his armor was made of tempered and blackened steel--which was simply iron in a stronger state. He glanced at his companions. None of them, compared to him, seemed to have any combat experience. But if the leaders decided they were fit for the job, then so be it. He wouldn't raise any questions as to their abilities.

"I am Emert. Emert Berger." He said, "High Judge of Ferundil."

"Mmm interesting, I have seen so few alchemist in my journey, even so you are quite good indeed. My name is Lance." he replied to Varion´s introduction. After spending some time travelling he has saw many different types of magic, even he had faced some of them. However for he, as long as he can find his goal in the mountain.. "I´m quite good with my spear and bow, just a little wind like this and things will work nicely. hehehe ... oh I can also heal but i´m not that good on it." He finished as he put his hands inside his jacket pockets.

"Interesting." Cornelius commented after observing Drale's powers. "Shadow manipulation has always fascinated me, but alas, not something I found easy to master."

Cornelius blinked a moment, then smile.

"I beg your pardon. I should have started with my name. I am Cornelius Bastion."

He raised a hand, witch index finger extended. His eyes flared with white light as a robin composed of the same white light formed and settled on Cornelius's finger.

"Hard light manipulation." He explained.

Fairy smiled weakly."I'm not much...I'm fairy, that's what I'm called now. I'm a healer.....that's really it." She blushed weakly. "I'm sorry if I'm not help." She looked at everyone. "Hehe." She giggled weakly. "I hope we all get along." She bowed and grinned. A looked in the sky. Then she patted the sides of her dress. She started to spin. She hummed some out-of-tune lullaby.

The Doctor nodded in acknowledgement of the only one of his group who had thus far introduced himself. A High Judge of Ferundil was participating in this operation? Well, if that that didn't make him feel safe, nothing would. Unfortunately, it didn't make him feel safe. "Delighted to meet you Mr. Berger. My name is Doctor Pellinore Warthrop. If I had friends, they would call me the Doctor. I study monstrumology, which is the science of creatures far higher in the food web than any thing, including humans. As for a quick demonstration of my applied ability..." The Doctor paused as he flipped through the tome he was carrying, falling onto a page. "Ah, perfect, flashy and an excellent showcase of my ability!" The Doctor smiled as he read what was on the page. But a moment passed before a large red bird flew overhead. It circled a few times, allowing the others to understand what it was. A Phoenix. The magnificent flaming avian creature descended, and perched on a tree branch directly overhead the Doctor. It cawed three times, then vanished when the Doctor closed his book. "As you can see, I summon objects and organisms that I have profiled in detail within my notebook. I have several other creatures, not to mention some tools as well." The Doctor ended his demo with a brief explanation of the magic involved. Hopefully it was enough for them to realize he was far more than a simple nerd.

Kinzoku smiled at the other people gathered around her. It didn't matter that one looked about ready to kill herself, another seemed deathly afraid of the world, and hat she had seen another talking with his weapons, Kinzoku was happy to be here. "Well, isn't everyone looking lively today!" She exclaimed smiling. "My name is Kinzoku! Nice to meet you!" She continued. Then it occurred to her that maybe a quick showcasing of her abilities would help everyone find a common ground, considering they were all mages in one aspect or another. She dug into her bag, and pulled out an ingot of silver, what her group was named after. She merely glanced at it, and the metal flowed around her, looking more like liquid than solid. It danced and swirled around the group. Kinzoku smiled at her comrades, and had the metal flow back towards her. It amalgamated in her hand, first in the ingot form, then elongated into a blade. "As you can see, I can mold metal into whatever shape I please!"

Alice didn't care to know the people around her. She only wished to get the job done and then get on with her life. She didn't want to make friends or memories, she just wanted to focus on the job. "My name is Alice Thornsberry and if anyone tries to stand in my way, I'll kill you myself. I'm not here to make friends with any of you, I'm here to do the job and that's all. So don't talk to me unless it's about the job at hand. I don't wish to know any of you." Alice said rudely and then made a lava chair appear and sat down on it.

Aya~

Aya stared at literally everyone.

"Hello everyone!" she exclaimed, looking at the Platinum group.

She had a smile on her face, however she was worried.

"I have a brother somewhere, he will probably be with us. We both share one power." Aya stated, running over to Fairy's side.

It was a fast move, similar to a rabbits.

"We have increased speed and jumping abilities." she said.

"And..."

Duplicates of her started popping up.

"I could make a thousand of me if I want!" she exclaimed.

Sanya was quiet for the most part. As everyone started showcase their abilities, she took the time to observe. As Sairi mentioned rabbits, she stepped forward. What Kinzoku had mistaken as want to kill herself was not far from the truth; it was merely a desire for her life to finally end for good.

"Sanya Bishop. Strike Witch." She said softly. Closing her eyes, cat ears and a cat tail appeared.

"I can take on the abilities of what animal I have bonded with. Cat is not my only familiar; I have others." She frowned and studied Kinzoku and Sairi, then her gaze relaxed to the detached indifference. Thats...about it."

Ferro moved at an amble through the trees of the forest, his gear slung across his back. Gear was not the right word for it; Chips, Birgitte, and Vell were people in their own right. It was just that they were a shield, glaive, and crossbow. "Are we almost to the mountain?" Chips whined, his voice sounding in Ferro's mind. "Stop complaining, dammit!" Another, gruff voice, Vell's. "There's no need to be so angry, Vell. I am certain we will be there soon." Birgitte's voice lilted. "Yep, another couple miles and we'll be in the foothills." Ferro said. When he had seen the mountain on the horizon, he knew he had to go explore it. He didn't know which mountain it was; Ferro never paid attention to that sort of thing. All he knew was that it was there, and that was all Ferro needed. He stayed his course.

"...Hi...um..." Sandrew kinda just hovered in one of the corners. His small stature made him look like a ten-year-old in some respects, he was shaking. "C-could you p-please not... not be so loud..." Sandrew asked meekly, almost silent as a whisper.

Alfeduir Birsingr sat on his throne in the clouds and sighed. "Another boring day as usual," He said. To earthdwellers, he was often revered and called "Birsingr, god of magical understanding and wisdom." However here, Kaymn's often called him "Ryu the Accursed" because of his mysterious and terrifying power. He never uncovered his hood unless he's fighting a worthy challenger good enough for Ryu to unveil his hood, so no one knows what he really looks like. He yawned and awaited that worthy challenger.

Amber

A chill went down Amber's spine when her teammates began showing off her powers. The last time she used her powers around others when there wasn't anyone to focus her rage on... well, it didn't end well. "My name's Amber. I can cover myself in shadow. I become pretty strong, but... I probably shouldn't do that right now. Maybe later." she said meekly.

Jasper

Jasper grinned as his teammates began to reveal their powers, even if some of them seemed a little weird. They were all pretty interesting, but what he could do wasn't too shabby either. "Name's Jasper, and I can do this." Jasper said, pulled up one of his sleeves, and toutched his tatoo of a sword. In a flash of light, an impressive longsword appeared in Jasper's hand. "Pretty cool, huh?"

A judge--bound by rules and law, able to punish all crimes and yet not all sins. They are expected to, and sometimes forced to obey the law regardless of belief, disbelief, or opinion. They may know the guilty, but if those offenders were deemed innocent by the ignorant people--loved by the narrow minded society...a judge has no power there.

A doctor. Not just any, really, an odd one in which summons odder creatures. But instead of odd...perhaps unnatural would be much more fitting. When the foolish humans play the role of God, they play it poorly, and this doctor would likely be a prime example of it. The only beliefs they have not contradicted by their own tie to factual evidence is the belief that they are always right, that they can play God because God was always imaginary to begin with. The doctor was more unnatural than his creatures. The doctor was, already, despicable. However...perhaps their pursuit of truths may intertwine and their journey will be of the greatest.

The girl did not initially come across Morgan as a pitiable being like the rest. Her being absolutely asocial bothered her not at all, but she was, simply, rude. Intolerant of anyone's presence, in all regards. It seemed she had not even judged her comrades but shunned them anyway. As opposed to Morgan herself, imminently judging everyone, but still open to...observing everyone much further.

Retaining her composure and indifference to her missionary peers, Morgan was last to introduce herself. "My name is Morgan. I will not be sharing my surname, however, I have been referred to as Morgan 'Etiam Vinctum,' and I find it...fitting, at best. Feel free to call me that as well. I look forward to...getting to know all of you...." She bowed, but remained standing. Despite doing so, her expression did not give the vibe that her bow was out of praise, or even of kindness. As if no reason at all.

"Nothing as of yet." Dante replied calmly to his fellow Kamyn, Adriev, in particular. "The vast majority, if not all of them, should just barely be introducing themselves to one another. They're not compatible quite yet, if they ever even will be. Let them build a bit of hope in themselves before we tarnish it." He continued, looking up above. "Also, I believe our 'Accursed' ally remains in the clouds. Perhaps we should call him over, this may be a matter of utmost importance."

"Sounds good to me.  I enjoy crushing things."  Griver responds, tossing an orb up and catching it in his right hand, over and over.  Still toying around with it, he says:  "I say we leave Ryu up there for a little while.  He's in one of his 'bored' sessions again, and I don't want hear it.  Besides, the humans are just meeting.  Nothing serious is going on down below that's worth any caution."

As Vortimer,a man in black armor whose covering his face with a dragon-like mask, hear the conversations between the Kamyns,he began to speak."From my opinion,we should wait for some develops. And as we wait,I would like to have a favor from you,Adriev...."Vortimer said as he speak to his opinions to the Kamyn, especially Adriev of course." If it's alright, may I use my power to summon the "Trials" to these humans? We shall give them an example of true despair to them that lies beyond our domain,Evraius, and make they know their own places..." Vortimer said as he ask a favor for Adriev...

The kaymn looked out over the hill, wondering of the next assault.... He sighed. "Humans..." He sighed. He smelled the air. It was a fresh mountain smell, mixed with the rotting carcass of bodies that had failed...

And will fail.

He wondered about them. Why do they struggle? And why would they try anymore? His father always told them they were foolish... But he wonderd if it was idiocy or...

He looked at his arm, wich had a huge gash fom the fall he had. He looked at it, and it healed, slowly.

He used to cry at THIER pain at first... But he had gotten used to it.

"...Hi...um..." Sandrew kinda just hovered in one of the corners. His small stature made him look like a ten-year-old in some respects, he was shaking. "C-could you p-please not... not be so loud..." Sandrew asked meekly, almost silent as a whisper.

Cornelius gave Sandrew a questioning look, but after a moment nodded."Fair enough." He said in a reduced volume level. "Though perhaps you could reciprocate the concession with some basic information about yourself?"The young Bastion lightly tossed the hard light bird he had on his finger up into the air where it took flight. It slowly dissolved as it rose."Ah, your powers are triggered by something painful or perhaps alter your mental functions in some way." Cornelius conjectured as he looked at Amber. He had started the sentence in his normal tone of voice, but brought it back down to a lower volume as something reminded him of Sandrew's request."Dark transformations usually carry with it a predisposition towards negative emotion. Never understood why."The Young Researcher turned his attention to Drale."Do you suffer from any sort of draw backs to your manipulation to darkness?"

"Now that you mention it, yes. If I spend too long with out my shadow...Well, let's just say I don't want to. At night, the time I can spend using shadows is increased, but if I leave something without its shadow for too long, the same thing that would happen to me, would happen to it. For inanimate objects that means that I start to be drained by the object in question, as things can't go without their shadow for long periods of time." Drale explained quietly, keeping in mind what Sandrew asked.

"Uh.. I-I guess.. well... M-my name is Sandrew..." He mutteted, looking towards the gate. "I... I don't wanna go out there..."

The Doctor glanced at his other two allies. While the Judge's personality didn't seem strange in any way, just another experienced soldier, he could not say the same about Alice and Morgan. Those two were rather different. He also far from approved of Alice's behavior. And he intended to let her know that. He smiled, but it was so transparent you could see the grass on the other side. "Ah, mademoiselle Alice," Now they definitely knew he was messing with her. He only used French when he needed to be rude. "But perhaps I wish to know you? Then my gentlemanly actions would be met with a fiery demise?" The Doctor waved his arm dramatically. He shot a cocky grin at Morgan. She seemed the conservative type, despite her ah, apparel, so he doubted she would approve of his teasing the younger girl.

Kinzoku beamed at Sanya and Jasper. They both seemed like alright people, despite Sanya's shy regret. Of course, Kinzoku had instantly taken this as a challenge. Get a smile out of Sanya? It would be done before they encountered their first Kamyn. Kinzoku then looked back over to Jasper. He seemed cool and confident, and Kinzoku knew she wouldn't have a problem working with the guy.She smiled at him, then warped her rapier into a long sword that looked exactly like the one he was holding, then held it up. "You got tattoos, she has animals, and I have my ingots!" She exclaimed cheerfully. So as to demonstrate hat she had multiple ingots, several more metal bars floated out of her bag. Each was a different element, with different properties, just so she could use them in conjunction to have he best effect.

Fairy smiled weakly."I'm not much...I'm fairy, that's what I'm called now. I'm a healer.....that's really it." She blushed weakly. "I'm sorry if I'm not help." She looked at everyone. "Hehe." [An Archer, An Alchemist, And 2 Strange Girls.. Each Seems To Be Capable In Their Own Magic, However]

He Swallowed, Not Wanting His Voice To Crack During His Introduction. (This Can't Only Happen To Me)

"My Greetings, Fellow Teammates. I Am Apollo." He Said With A Slight Raise Of His Hand And A Small Grin.

A healer a multyplier, and an alchemist.... well then.. Lance thought as he saw someone else coming, Apollo was his name. Then he took one more look around the gate and towards the Kamin territory, he knew the legends about them, creatures capable of incredible destruction, isolated in the mountains. He wondered... if they were really the intruders in the land of gods. "Nice to meet you all. Anyway... when should we move in?" he asked somehow impatience.

Alice got up from her fire chair and walked over to the Doctor. "Listen, people who get on my bad side don't live to see another second of their lives. I do not play games here, if you give me any reason to kill you, I will. I don't wish to do anything but to do the job and go on with my life. So keep all your mouth shut at me, or next time this isn't going to go out well for you." Alice said in the harsh tone imaginable. She then grabbed the Doctor's hand and gave it a burn. She then walked over to her chair and sat down again. "Remember, no one wants to give me any reason to kill you." Alice said to the group. She then wondered about when they were going to get a move on. She wanted this whole thing to be over.

Jasper

Jasper looked around and studied his teammates. So far, they seemed like decent people. Kinzoku seemed both kind and competent, which was good. Sanya, on the other hand, he was a little nervous about. It was clear by the look in her eyes that she was in a pretty bad state of depression. He understood that, of course. After his dad was executed by the same people he'd spent his entire life trying to help, he'd been down in the dumps for quite a while. But eventually he found a sense of purpose in putting his powers to good use, and started looking on the up again. Hopefully this mission would Sanya that same sense of purpose, otherwise her depression could slow her down, and thus slow down the team as a whole. And then there was the other guy, who'd yet to speak. Jasper decided to give the guy his space until he was ready to talk.

"Nice, it's not every day that you get to see so many people with such versatile powers together. Something tells me this'll be and interesting trip." Jasper said, unsummoned his sword and rolled up both his sleeves, revealing all six of his tattoos. "Each tattoo is actually a magically enchanted object, like my sword. It definitely helps me carry them all, thats for sure." Jasper then rolled down his sleeves, "So, you all ready to climb this bad boy yet?" he asked.

Amber

Amber relaxed a little when she saw how nervous Sandrew was. It let her know that she wasn't the only one feeling a little bit anxious. She wanted to tell him not to worry, but knew that would be hypocritical of her. She'd never exactly been an optimist. Instead, she decided to answer Cornelius, "Um, yeah, that's pretty much how my powers work. It can make things a little tough sometimes, having trouble controlling my powers, but I've learned to get around it."
