I alsways start on 'Normal' & then work my way up. If I ever go back to play a game, I may play on easy, justt to enjoy the game.

If its my first time playing a game in the series, or first time on a new console, yes.

I like to play each difficulty in order. For example, in a KH game, the first time i play it will be beginner, the next time i play will be standard, and so on. Right now, i'm trying to get through expert mode on kh1. It's not that hard, until it comes to Hollow Bastion. :(

Used to, nowadays I usually go for just the normal difficulty when playing a game for the first time.

Depends on the game.

i want a challenge, and i never play on an easy difficulty. sometimes, (for example rhythm games) its so easy that its too hard. it doesnt make any sense, lol but its true. and if it gets too easy, it gets boring and the game just gets a whole lot shorter. i feel like its treating the game like a pushover. i want to respect my own skills and the game itself.

I pretty much always choose one of the easiest modes with strategy games, since I kind of stink at those. Otherwise, I'll go with the standard difficulty for at least my first run through.

Yeah.

I'm one of those weirdo's playing Kh for the STORY, not battles.

I'd rather get to see the game ending then spend 2 hours in a mega hard boss battle only to rage quit after not being able to beat it.

I used to all the time.

Very very rarely. It depends on the game but I tend to avoid it.

That said, when I was a kid I'd play on the easy difficulty if there was an option. Not because I was terrible at games but because I always wanted to enjoy playing it. If I felt like a game was too easy then I'd up the difficulty.

It also depends on if a trophy is involved, KHFM I'm looking at you.

I always play KH on Easy Mode, then get straight to Critical.

I had to play Japanese FM in Easy. I had to. xD

Yes, to get use to the console/controls...

I don't pick any medium, medi-hard, or hard difficulty, because I'm not all that confident.

Especially, if I'm dealing with a new console, that I have no idea to control.

So I start from scratch and work my way up.

Depends on the game. When it comes to Kingdom Hearts, I generally always play on Normal.

I never play on easy mode. I'll play a game on normal difficulty first to get the storyline then on higher difficulties afterward for achievements and trophies.

Until very recently I would always play games on easy mode on the first play through because I like to concentrate more on the story, and usually the game presented enough of a challenge for me on easy mode that I didn't care.
