Yet another thread I'm making concerning Kairi and Lea. This is starting become a trend with me.

 

Anyways, this popped into my head last night:

 

We all know that Lea is originally from Radiant Garden until he lost his heart, became a Nobody and joined the Organization, and we also know that Kairi lived in Radiant Garden with her grandmother until Radiant Garden was covered with darkness and she was sent off (presumably by Ansem SOD) to Destiny Islands which she now calls her home. 

 

So now that Kairi and Lea are older now and are most likely going to be traveling throughout the worldscape in KHIII, is there a chance that their memories of their original world will be returned and/or adressed? After all, I'm sure Lea might have some memory of where he came from considering he still remembers Isa, though we've never really seen both him and Radiant Garden in the same context before, and Kairi showed that she at least had the knowledge that she was from another world way back in the beginning of KHI. 

 

This brings up a lot of scenarios: Kairi could visit Radiant Garden and recognize that she's in her true home, and maybe we'll see her grandmother again for some reason (thought I highly doubt it); maybe she'll be conflicted and want to stay in RG considering its her original home instead of going back to Destiny Islands with Sora and Riku; or maybe there's some kind of halabaloo involving her being a Princess of Heart that was never brought up before. (Just imagine if she's like Ansem the Wise's daughter or something, gee whiz.) Also, Lea could also have some conflict in staying in RG instead of going off with Roxas and Xion (who I believe would live in Twilight Town if they had the chance), or maybe he has a confrontation with his old friend Isa, or maybe he has a confrontation with some of the other characters who are based in RG, like Dilan or Aeleus or somebody like that.

 

It's just something to mull over. There are lots of other ways this can be used to give Kairi and/or Lea some extra character arcs.

This makes me wonder about Kairi and Lea, how they could be connected in more than what we're shown. Relatives?

a lot of people call RG their home, just because Kairi lived there til she was 4 and Lea lived there, doesn't mean theres a magical connection now

This is so interesting it makes my head hurt...a lot. Although I do think Lea already knows about Radiant Garden since that's the first place he appeared in since that was where he was, for lack of a better term, reincarnated. That and he kinda values Sora/Roxas/Xion more than Isa at the moment due to Isa's current position.

Nah, there's really no loose ends to tie up at all. Kairi knows that RG is her home, but she has accepted Destiny Islands as her home now, the fact that she reappeared on the islands when they were being restored is proof enough of that. And really, the only loose end for Lea that has ANYTHING to do with his time in RG is Isa, and that doesn't necessarily have to happen in RG. It would be interesting story-wise, but it's not absolutely necessary. And even if it did, I doubt Kairi and Axel are going to be like "Hey, you know what? Why don't we just live here? It's not so bad." I'm pretty sure they care more about their friends than where they're from. That's not to say there's no room for ANY kind of RG story involving these two, it's just probably not going to be any of those scenarios.

Lea already has all his memories though and in KH1 I'm pretty sure Kairi mentioned something about Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden being her true home in the past.

She mentioned her "hometown" and that she doesn't remember where that was to Sora in KHI, which obviously confirms that she is from another world.

I don't know about Lea being related to Kairi, but I do think that Ansem the Wise played a big part in her life when she was small. Maybe he caught on right away that she was a Princess of Heart, and invited her and her grandmother into the castle to chat with them about it. (Could explain why they were in the castle library.) I'm sure a good bit of KH3, is going to be Kairi having flashbacks....I wonder if she'll remeber Xehanort trying to kill her?

Your right but after they all leave Hollow Bastion, and go to Traverse Town, Kairi does mention that Hollow Bastion was her home.

lea remembers Radiant Garden in fact he was there at the start of ddd and he's there now on a "secret mission" as for kairi who knows

I really really doubt that there will ever be any incident involving lea deciding between RG and his close friends. Honestly, he's more or less crossed worlds for them. And to abandon them just for a place? and i dont think Lea will ever be interested into something as weak as "this is my hometown. Better abandon my friends then."

Just to clarify something for those who thought this: I'm not saying that Lea and Kairi have some kind of connection to one another because they both live in Radiant Garden.

 

I'm saying that they both are respectively from there so they both respectively can have a character arc involving their home world. Whether or not they both do at the same time is just coincidence.
