August 31, 201411 yr I just find it frustrating that now there is a possibility that my base 3DS will not play all the games in the 3DS library. I'm going to trade in my 3DS at Amazon, and I'm not sure if I will put my credit towards the new model or use it for something else.

August 31, 201411 yr Nintendo is taking advantage of their position in the handheld market to screw over their fans. This has been going on with each iteration of the DS. They've never looked worse than they do now in my eyes. Hope they ditch these dirty marketing schemes soon.
August 31, 201411 yr hopefully i can trade in my limited edition X and Y 3ds for the amount the new one is worth. I got a limited Fire Emblem I won't want trade that I love it so much. I'll just deal it with the past games and hopefully much future games. The next theatrhythm would be probably playable on 3DS. That is the only KH game that I'm expecting now. If that is the case then there is no reason to buy a new 3ds.
August 31, 201411 yr I was perfectly fine with my DS Lite, so I should be fine with the original 3DS. So my money's not going anywhere.
August 31, 201411 yr Honestly I don't think I'll upgrade I'm happy with my XL so what if I can't play a few games I'm sure Nintendo will just make another console with few changes and charge us another 200 dollars for it.
August 31, 201411 yr I already have Xenoblade on Wii and I haven't played too much of it. (thanks PS3). But why would I want to get it on a system where it will be worse than the original? No offense to the new 3DS. Xenoblade puts a lot of stuff on the screen and its already pretty crowded on a big screen tv, let alone a 4 or 5 inch screen for the two 3DS models. Unless they come out with some other games that really interest me, I have no reason to get it. Side note: They probably will considering this is basically the game boy color version of the 3DS. haha It will probably get some updated pokemon/zelda games on it that won't play on the original one.

September 1, 201411 yr I don't want a new one, and I don't plan on buying a new one. Sure, I'll be peeved if a game I actually want is made only available on the new 3DS (which considering they're doing that, they might as well rename it) like if they did Majora's Mask on it alone, but I still wouldn't drop all that money for one game again when mine was bought used and works perfectly.
September 1, 201411 yr Xenoblade, heck yes. I'm sold. Nintendo is taking advantage of their position in the handheld market to screw over their fans. The thing is, this 3DS has better hardware. That's why it has exclusive games.

They're just squeezing more cash out of their fans for barely upgrading the hardware and more or less creating a new console. Its ridiculous.

Its ridiculous. i think of it as more of a major upgrade. more buttons and a second analog stick seem a lot like a new console to me. i think their just not calling it something new to not piss off fans who just got a 3ds thinking it would last them a long time. i still think this is too early tho. that said, its better and im happy with the 3 years i got out of the normal 3ds (though i can understand why others arent) so i might get this if i can save up the money for it.
