So does anyone know if the four we saw in the trailer (Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto) are the only party members? Also, are they going to be playable. I mean, I love Noctis and all, but sometimes you just wanna shoot crap. The gameplay looks absolutely wonderful, and it would be kind of disappointing if we only had four party members to use.

I doubt that'll be it. I'm hoping for something a la FFVI with too many to count.

From everything I've seen, it looks like Noctis is going to be the only playable character. Now, I seem to remember a pervious trailer where Noctis was using a turret to shoot a big dinosaur creature, so there might be more variation in his weapons and attacks then just melee weapons. (Note: if I'm remembering the trailer i mentioned correctly, then it was put outback before the name change, so who knows what validity it still has.)

As for party members, I'm betting that is going to be much more situational and story based then a standard FF party. You'll have the core three and what ever extra party members the story dictates. (Think Larsa from FFXII)

Nope. I think Luna is a brand new character, maybe the black haired girl on the right in this picutre. Would fit.

 

They're all playable (I read that somewhere) and I think Cor Leonis is a party member too. I don't know if we'll be able to have all five party members at the same time though...'cuz in all the previous trailers it seemed like the maximum number in a party was three but now they've upgraded it to four...maybe we'll get all five in the next trailer...
