Do You Think Frozen Will Be in A Future KH Game?

Posted

It's honestly probably one of the more annoying status effects, especially in Days where it can really screw you over, not that any of Days' status effects are particularly pleasant. I'm fairly certain the frozen status also appears in Birth by Sleep, but I don't remember seeing it much, if at all. KH1 had a frozen status too, but just for the Ice Titan

Personally I'm not a fan of status effects in my action RPGs, but it seems like a lo of people really want it to be in KH3 or a future KH game for some reason?

Love that misleading topic name.

It's also in Re:Coded, but you can get an accessory that prevents it pretty early on. (Don't remember if a similar accessory is in 358/2 or not.) I'm not a fan of such status effects either, but it's also fun to use them on enemies (freezing or air-tossing enemies is pretty damn satisfying). If they could implement a way to escape being frozen, like flowmotioning (or whatever the thing is gonna be in KH3) out of it and turning it around on the enemy, that'd be cool; one of the reasons KH2 is so fun is because there's tons of abilities and Reaction Commands that let you do that sort of thing.

no

oh freezing ENEMIES is the BEST

In BBS I'd freeze a big group of enemies as Aqua and then use Ghost Drive, Time Splicer or Zack's finisher on them

it feels cool

Freezing enemies in BBS was pretty fun, but most status effects are suuuuper cheap in Days. As long as it's not in any major fights, I won't mind.

I'd actually say the opposite. Put status effects in major fights, like the Ice Titan, and use them well. I don't want some random Heartless freezing me in the middle of a normal battle

Status feels so cheap when you're in a main fight, though. At best, it just drags the fight out, and worst, it allows a boss to get in an easy one-shot.

it allows for more interesting things though. Like in Birth by Sleep Maleficent uses the sleep status on you, but if you do the action command right you can turn it back on her

Frozen is sooooo overrated. Who wants a status effect that freezes you in place in an action game? I play an MMO where Frozen can really screw you over. Unfortunately, it's just a part of the game that I need to deal with, so I really should just let it go.

I'd take Frozen over the one that reverses your controls. Good thing that was only in Days.

Boooooooooo.

It's also in DDD, and possibly Re:Coded, though I'm not sure about that one.

Probably so! I really don't want it to be though!
