Because it's obviously meant to be taken seriously.

The keyblade is totally awkward, there is no keyblade with an exact rectangle shape on the holding side. Besides, the way of the saber in every side is dangerous for the holder. Even if we ever had Star Wars in KH, we won't have such design for the keyblade and not even close to it.

Whoever decides to use that weapon surely is brave. It looks like an overgrown glow stick you take to a rave.

I have a new favorite Keyblade and it isn't even official.

A little too wide, but with some fine tweaking they probably could create an attractive lightsaber Keyblade design.
