It wouldn't be free without the support of companies like Square. I'm a student about to enter the industry(hopefully). The fact that this engine is now free is great news and I owe Square and others great thanks for it.

I don't think Square played such a big part in it. The are using it for a game which isn't even out yet. Other companies out there have made tons of games with it.

Who really knows? All I'm saying is that they supported it and that support stacks up.
