The voice acting is soooooooooooooooooo bad. :(

it's  'good' in the sense that the actors are doing a pretty good jobs, biut they're really over the top and stereotypical which really hurts it

I agree with the voice acting part. Noct (The most troublesome, I thought) and the cast grow on you after a while, but the voice actors do portray enough emotion to be unique. However, they may be a little over the top at times.

personally, I don't think you should be able to tell everything about a character from their voice

yet what we have here is proper British guy, hyperactive young guy, and gruff guy. Compare similar things, Balthier was British, but it was more subtle than what we have in FFXV. Tidus is energetic and young, but he can emote more than that. These voices are so extremely embedded in their trope it makes them seem one dimensional
