A New Ratchet & Clank game has been announced for the PS4. It's a remake of the first R&C game from the PS2.

Doesn't help that Naughty Dog technically doesn't own Jak and Daxter; Sony Computer Entertainment does. (Hence the spin-offs developed by other companies.)

Not sure what you're referring to? The last J&D game they worked on was Jak X, and that was more or less a sequel, wasn't it? (Well, and helping port the original three to the PS3, but that barely counts.)

Oooooh, that. For some reason I thought that was original concept art from the first game. Shame, that woulda been a lot more interesting than Depressing Zombie Game: The Movie.

Not happening. Too busy with Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2.

Apparently the movie is coming out on April 26, 2016. I'm surprised by how far that kinda is.

Poorly. Which is why I'd rather they didn't remake the game, it'd just be outsourced to a company that wouldn't do a good job. (Though in my opinion, Naughty Dog would be one of those companies, but now I'm just editorializing. )

Naughty Dog doesn't own any of their franchise because ND themselves are owned by Sony. Same happened with Crash Bandicoot remember? Probably the same will happen with Uncharted too.

 

Anyway, here's some more gameplay of the same levels but different.

 

I've got absolutely no idea why these don't give me any hype. Last one that gave me hype was the Gladiator one. That game was so good.

I especially love how the trailer of this Ratchet And Clank game says: "The game, based on the movie, based on the game." Lol, it's a hilarious pun which makes sense!

 

And you know something?  Ratchet And Clank have been one of Sony's most ever-lasting franchises!  They outlasted Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper!  It's impressive how far the Lombax and tiny robot have come since their humble beginnings back on the PS2!

The series is really cool and I think the one thing you'll like the most is the weapons, Insomniac games is known for creating awesome weapons. Like in this new Ratchet and Clank game they have a weapon called the Pixilator which turns enemies into 8-bit creatures lol.
