The opening cinematics are by no means official canon, but it's an interesting thought. This game came out in 2012, we first saw the book in Chi (2013), and we got the official name for it in 2014, so it is not too far fetched to believe that Nomura thought of this plot device back then. Swordinger 110 Posted June 12, 2015 I honestly think that the book shown in the opening of KH:3D is a representation of the diverse stories of the characters that are recorded all in the same book, which is Jiminy Journal. More precisely, the first journal that was digitized in Re:Coded. Since KH:3D is the sequel of Re:Coded, in which the first Journal of Jiminy was in fact used to decipher the mysterious line "Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it."The journal had the memories of all the people connected to Sora, and those very people were showed in this opening.
