I think it would be akin to how Birth By Sleep did it... Maybe harder bosses you see in the game, and you can play through them online with friends, also potential PvP...

It'd probably be similar in concept to Mirage Arena, maybe with some differences. It would be really nice to have some kind of integration of χ and Mirage Arena, where you could create your own wielder and either play in an arena setting or actually get to explore some portions of worlds out there. Or maybe this would be where you could play as other characters in the franchise, like Lea, Kairi, Riku, etc., if they aren't playable in the main campaign.

I think it's more to do with them wanting it rather than them thinking they need it

If it's good enough I'll do it.  I just hope it's more PvE than anything PvP.

This was already said in some way. I remember that there was a news long ago that stated that there was a posibility of multiplayer in the KH story.

 

Anyway, a Mirage Arena (or something similar) would be great, it will give us more hours of fun in this game.

Because it adds more replay value to a game like with Mario Kart and Smash bros. An online mode would make you want to continue playing the game even after you've finished the story campaign.

I hope this is going to be awesome if he decides to make an online mode.

We've been waiting nine years for it, after all.

I really hope they don't do this. If it sucks, you'll have IGN and other review sites giving the game a lower rating because of things that were wrong in the multiplayer. Focus on the single player and the story line only. If they really have the ample amount of time and resources to make a somewhat decent multiplayer...they shouldn't. Put those resources towards something that matters, like a fixed port of 1.5 and 2.5 for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Yeah, if they do decide to have this multiplayer, I hope they give it to another team, like what MGSV is doing with MGO

that would make sense since if the same team that is working on kingdom hearts 3's single player started working on its possible online multiplayer, that would definitely make the development of the game slow down a bit.
