Sofia the First in Kingdom Hearts (Hear me out)

Posted

...as a character appearance similar to the Final Fantasy/WEWY characters. Sofia's world doesn't appear-SOFIA does, in Disney Town or in Radiant Garden, etc. etc. Other Disney cartoon characters could be incorporated this way-Kim Possible, Jake Long, you know, not world appearances but character appearances. That could work, right?

Actually, that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Maybe have Kairi interact with her somehow x3

im not too sure about that idea, the reason kairi is so... I dont want to say useless, but yeah, useless, is because she is a princess, a (sorry for somewhat insulting a gender, but i cant find a better way of describing her) girly princess at that, unlike jasmine, meridia, and tiana (haven't seen any of the newer 3d disney movies so sorry if i left some stronger females out) who have actually thrown themselves into danger not for the sake of a male protagonists, but because of their overall character( and yes, kairi is codependent on sora). If kairi is going to be a playable character and is going to be utilized in a way that kind of separates her from that she needs to be interacting with stronger princesses. But honestly if sofia was used then that would set a precedent for other disney junior shows like jake and the pirates and whatever else and i don't think anyone wants that.

I'm open to her inclusion, but she has to get in line behind other requested tv shows like Gargoyles, Kim Possible, and Darkwing Duck.

Not this again

Not too fond of that idea to be honest :/

Who says you can't be girly and strong? The Girly Bruiser trope exists for a reason. Princess Jasmine gives off very feminine vibes, and shows no disdain for girly activities, so she can be counted as a girly princess...who is also adventurous, rebellious, hates to be objectified, antagonizes Jafar even when it is clearly shown she is at his mercy, and will call out anyone who underestimates her, love interest or not.

You're also forgetting that Nomura designed Aqua to be feminine and strong (that info comes from Wikipedia, but even if there's no official confirmation in the game we see her a serious, dignified woman who wholeheartedly believes in the power of true love and gives off generally feminine behavior-it's muted, but it's there-even Terra calls her out on it). She isn't a Princess, so maybe she doesn't count, but still.

Jake Long  :/  We have Maleficent.  Why do we need another dragon.

I would possibly like Sofia in KH. Not gonna lie, Sofia the first is probably the only Disney Junior show I somewhat stand and actually like... I feel like it would be best not to include her for the sake of the 90% of fans who would hate to have her in the game. In terms of TV shows like Kim Possible and American Dragon... No. Please no. I love those shows but it will not fit in KH unless Nomura does a godly job of including them.

Square Enix specifically clarified that no TV show characters will be in the Kingdom Hearts series, therefore, she isn't going to happen.

Not exactly the greatest idea in the world. :/

There's the reason, along with she wouldn't be a good addition anyway.

Really? O.O Where did they say that?

Well that depends; can we kick her ass?

Sora has better morals that that.

I wouldn't object to a cameo appearance of Sofia.  It would be kinda fun to wonder around Traverse Town or Radiant Garden wondering what random characters you'll find walking around.

I would love to see Cedric the Sorcerer from Sofia the First appear in KH3 - either as a villain to accompany Maleficent and Pete, or even perhaps as Merlin's apprentice to replace the role of the Fairy Godmother as summon appraiser :) Considering the summon charms in KH2 look very similar to the Amulet of Avalor, I don't think that would be a bad idea, to be honest!

...Or maybe I'm just biased because Cedric is my favourite Disney character of all time!

Talking to her younger self you mean? :) (Ariel Winter who plays Sofia played Young Kairi in BBS) Btw in real life, Ariel Winter and Shanelle Workman Gray (Larxene) are sisters. Imagine if there could be a connection there somehow… :)

I was actually thinking the other day of how Sheriff Callie would work in KH. If you've ever seen the show, I could honestly see the Possem trio show up and sing a song about how Sora & co helped friendly corners :) come to think of it, Sherrif Callie would make a good mini game world, as would Sofia. Miles from Tomorrowland would also be awesome. I could see it being incorpated kinda like Deep Space with Miles or maybe Merc as a summon.

Jasmine is in no way a girly princess, out of all of the pre 2000 disney movies she is perhaps the strongest female lead out of all of them, if I were to make a spectrum of princess from strong willed/independent to weak/ codependent jasmine would be far left while Ariel would be far right, Kairi falls between the middle but leans mostly toward the right. And my definition of girly was a little off but the main point I wanted to get across was that Kairi has been codependent on the rest of the cast the whole series just like many of the other princesses in their respective movies except jasmine, meridia etc, so itd be wise to have Kairi interact with these strong princesses more so than the weaker ones.
