Which game in the franchise has had the best ending?

 

My favourite has to be KH2 for sure. Hearing Sanctuary play whilst Sora and Dolan and Gooby hug each other on Destiny Islands is awesome!

Kairi "Your home" and then they grab each others hands and for a second it shows Namine and Roxas! That hit me right in the heart. The CGI animation looked absolutely stellar, even today it still holds up. We got a lovely, pleasant, happy ending as opposed to the dark endings of KH1 and RE:COM. However there were still unanswered questions on where the Organization all went off to as well as Ansem The Wise!

 

Then Sora and Riku are by the tree and the dialogue is perfect but so simple.

 

"What a small world""Yeah,but part of one ​that's much bigger"

 

Then Kairi comes over and hands them the bottled letter which leads to a ton of questions!

DDD because Lea was revived and was a total badass as always saving Sora! Then BOOM! Keyblade! It was rad.

You just answered the question perfectly for me. Kingdom Hearts 2 all the way A perfect ending to a perfect game.

For me, it's between BBS and kh2. 

KH2 because it ended the series up to that point so perfectly. Everything was wrapped up nicely, story came full circle with ending on the islands, even the credits gave us closure to all the Disney worlds we saw. The series could have ended there and I would have been fine with that. A nice trilogy with KH, CoM and KH2.

Days, in my personal opinion, because it closed the loop. The cycle was back where it started in KH2, and fate's course was set.

It wasn't HAPPY, but not all endings need to be happy to be satisfying or good. Granted, Roxas was screwed, plain and simple, but for a few days, he had nothing but blissful ignorance with his friends. Nothing was on his mind but ice cream, sun sets, and the clock tower, if only for a little. That ending was very bitter sweet. 

Just my humble, ignorable opinion. 

Kingdom hearts 1 had the best ending for me because even though the ending was sad, it felt like it was leading off into an even more amazing story (kh 2). Plus it was the first time that i heard simple and clean which made the ending that much more amazing for me.

All of them. 

 

There wasn't a single ending in the games which I didn't get chills over. They are simply amazing.

Yeah that was awesome, but I really like KHII's ending too.

KH2 by far.  I would be content if it ended there.

KH2's was great and so was BBS's. I think BBS had a more emotional ending, but KH2's was far more epic. It is difficult to decide.

KH CoM had the best endings , in my opinion .

KH2 had the most closure and didn't give us a final "Firetruck you" for once.

I really love the end of KH1. Seeing the stars go back to the sky made it feel like even though Sora and Kairi were seperated, it was still all worth it.

I agree. Kingdom Hearts 2 had an awesome ending.

we all sang along to sanctuary when it played at the end of KH2.

Okami, I cried when people prayed to Amaterasu after Issun decided to act as a Celestial Envoy.

The scene is so dramatic At the end I love to see Sora, Donald and Goofy following Pluto.

That was so nice. Next in line is KH2 then 3D.

Haven't played DDD yet, but out of all the others, KH2 is my favourite by miles. Such a perfect ending to an amazing game! The others didn't really feel "complete" to me, especially Birth By Sleep, and probably Re:Coded(although I can't even remember the ending to that game )
