What I believe 2.9 is, was, or will be.

Featured Replies

I believe 2.9 will be Dream Drop Distance HD, so it can complete the collection.

I fully agree with point 1, I hadn't really thought about point 2 being cutscenes like Days and Coded, but I really like that idea. Of course, I'd rather play BBS v2, but I'll be fine with cutscenes.

As for point 3, I think it's likely to happen, since it would follow the trend of FF15 and Metal Gear Ground Zeroes. Plus it would give me another reason to be happy about getting a PS4 :)

This is the best route.

Since 2.9 seems that it will be released for ps3, there's no reason to think 1,5 and 2.5 are in this combo. If people want to play them, just buy a ps3. Just like people bought a ps2 to play KH/KH2, psp to play BBS etc...

Im just hoping we get a final mix version of KH3D HD. That would be sweet.

Yes, 2.9 may definitely be a remaster of Dream Drop Distance, and could probably come with a Kingdom Hearts III Demo!  But, the only drawback to this would be that, well, if it's true that this game would be for PS3 and PS4, then PS3 owners would miss out on the KHIII demo, you know what I'm saying?  So, I really don't know how that'll work.  I'm waiting until there's a KHIII PS4 Bundle so I can cash in on that, so yeah. X_X

I'm very interested to see what 2.9 will end up being!  And your idea for Birth By Sleep Volume 2 being in cutscenes definitely is a good idea, and since it's just voice recording, wouldn't take an excruciating amount of time to make!  But, Nomura also did say that there would be no new games before KHIII, so there's that too!

Gahh, 2.9 is such a mystery! X_X

Or what about Kingdom Hearts 3 prologue with KH3D HD cinematics?

They still have a lot of holes to fill this is what I think KH 2.9 could be its similar to what Ven983 was saiying but i think it should focus more on filling plot holes rather than remastering 3D. However a remastered KH3D would be awesome

I really think it's just DDD HD and a demo for Kingdom Hearts 3, along with the content from 1.5 and 2.5... I don't think BBS V2 would be in the installment. Like they'd be able to put out a PS4 title so quickly when KH3 has been in development for years?

I think the "attraction flow documentation" in his linkedin article just has to do with the possible KH3 demo. But it's probably an extra for PS4 only, meaning PS3 won't get the demo. But overall everyone will get a nice collectors edition on a single disc which gives people a reason to rebuy it for probably $60. Which is a great price!

A KH3 prequel MAY be possible but it'd probably be short.

That's what I think so as well. It's either going to be Dream Drop Distance as a stand alone, or it will be 1.5 and 2.5, or it could be both of them.  I honestly have no idea how people thought that it would also include Birth by Sleep Volume 2, although that would be nice it would be almost impossible to do unless they outsourced it and they have been working on it for a long time, but if 2.9 is real it would probably come out next year and like I said depending on how long they have been working on it it would be really hard to have a whole new game as well included

I do hope it's a Remake of Dream Drop Distance, and a mini-game of BBS Volume 2.A Kh3 Demo doesn't make sense, because 2.9 will release for the PS3 and they won't make a demo for a game that won't come out of the same platform, and they won't take it out of the PS3 versionIf they want to release a Demo the can make it downloadable in the Playstation Market.
