Anyone else notice the stuff that's happening on KH13? Topic of the day is using the same stuff as before, Webmasters don't show up as often as they used to do, barely any new users, new topics are the same thing but with a different name of the topic, almost nobody ask for help in the 2.5 & 1.5 forums, and recently Sora96 retires forever. Does this mean KH13 is done for? I'm not trying to that guy who ruins everything, but who's going to update & alert us with the latest news from Square Enix? Or actually post a thread with originallty that isn't a copy of a old thread with a new name? Or a god dang original-but-not-done-before topic of day? I can come up with millions of original topics of the day. But unfortunately, I have to constantly update about the voice actors birthdays. Can I just post topics of the day? That's all I want to do. Back to what I was saying, KH13 is losing its luster and becoming a dead forum every single day. Soon enough, it's going to have the same fate as Kingdom Hearts Ultimania. (This guy probably predicted the future. http://kh13.com/forum/statuses/all/?member_id=52459&st=30 ) Is it finally time for us KH fans to move on to a new dawn that will shine upon us? Or just simply move to a different forum and leave this place as a lost forgotten memory? Or perhaps try to bring in new members? What should we do?

It's not going away, mods switch out all the time. It's not the site's fault that people post up topics that are basically regurgitated versions of something that was already made a topic before, it's because people have those kinds of questions and the older posts tend to not be very relevant anymore, so they're hard to find. Typically it's just easier to ask a question anew rather than have to sift through 5 years worth of topics just to find one simple answer somebody could have told you today. Also, because some people just didn't know that there was a previous version of the topic, so they just posted it without knowing any better. KH Ultimania is still around, the heck you talking about? Topic/Poll of the Day is what it is. Sometimes news or info changes which makes the topic relevant again with newer options and different opinions. So it's only natural that it repeats itself, it has to. As for less people needing help, that just probably has to do with the fact that it's been almost a full year since the last game release and by this point everybody is practically done with 1.5 and 2.5, so there aren't as many people in need of help. But it also depends on where you look, I still see a few people asking for help on what really should be simple problems, so at the very least there are some newer members/fans who aren't as savvy yet. And no, I don't think KH13 will die for a very long time. Not unless something catastrophic happens between most of the mods. So unless the story of Kingdom Hearts X began to manifest itself within KH13, I don't think such a thing as the end of KH13 will ever come to pass, unless Kingdom Hearts ended as well.

KH Ultimania went into lockdown mode. They still tweet/post news on social media, but their site is no longer used.

KH13 seems fine by me. I know there is issues that may rise from time to time, but if an issue occurs such as conflicts with members, report it to our moderation team and they will handle it with ease. :). -- If you see something on our site that's outdated or not properly placed, post a topic on our website forum or contact someone like DChiuch or Sora96 (till he officially retires at the end of this month).

KH13 reached 8k users on August 16th, when we had D23. Imagine D23 Japan, our site will go insane!

So yeah, KH13 is far from over. -- Our moderators are always online, News Team is on top of news, Social Media Team handles engaging posts on our social medias, and the Archives Team is still doing their job with all the interviews, gallery, videos archive, etc.

All of this, because Jake knows all lol.

& yeah D23 Expo Japan is gonna be crazy for so many reasons. As Nomura-san would say, "please look forward to it"  ;).

Huh, wow. You leave a site for a few years and then what happens? Oh well, I guess it's for the best. I often found myself slowly gravitating to KH13 more and more as the years went by, since Ultimania had a bad habit of not updating with news that often, even when other sites got to things first. KH13 and Insider have been MUCH better with that thankfully. Still, Ultimania is what got me into the fan community, and for that I will forever miss it. Farewell KH Ultimania, you shall be missed. <3

Our moderator, administration, and news teams are some of the best people I have ever seen. They get the news once it happens. There are other people who I have seen following their lead and doing as good of a job. I come here KNOWING that I will see the latest news. Their dedication is unlike anyone else that I have seen and it should not go unnoticed. I think that they are under appreciated and we all should thank them in some way. I hope more people will follow in their shoes and step up to be the next generation if they really are that dedicated. So I say to the whole staff of kh13.com, thank you. Thank you for being there to give us the latest news and best coverage of any event where Kingdom Hearts appears. You do it better than anyone else and I appreciate it. This website will not end and I think some people are starting to step up. I just hope more people will follow in Sora96's and the rest of the News Team's and the rest of the staff's footsteps.

Change happens all the time. It's certainly tough from a News Team perspective to lose Sora96, but I promise we will move on. We have to. KH13 isn't gonna die anytime soon, so long as Kingdom Hearts is still a thing. I understand that this has been a slow news week, but there will be PLENTY more news come November and D23, and even as early as this week with more Nomura interviews. Just relax.

kh13 died a long time ago

KH13 has always been a rollercoaster in terms of activity. It goes down when there is less news (remembered that big post-KH3D drought where basically nothing happened?). It goes back up when there is more news or a new game comes out. Also while I do a see huge difference from when I joined KH13 and what KH13 is now, its not dead and wont be for a while.

Maybe the site needs new moderators and team members to fill in the spaces who can give new and unique info.
True, we get info about FF games, DQ games, and many more other game series, but we just don't have enough people keeping an eye on many different things.

Think: Sora96 was the main one posting much about Square Enix games, nobody else even announced anything about these games. Yep, one person. Then with Kingdom Hearts news as a whole, mainly announced by: Jake, Toominator, etc.

I could go on, but the point is, the teams need more NEW members who are still familiar with the site's mechanics and can find info as easily as our old team leaders (Sora96, Toominator, etc.) Which can be done by the leaders' teaching new team members how to post the news themselves.

The missing piece we are missing is none other than "TEAM WORK". If we get that, finding and sharing news is a breeze.
I rest my case.

Rock on!

New moderators wont do anything in terms of activity. Moderators are basically monitoring activity and anything that is against the rules or what we deem needs to dealt with is removed or something. If anything, we chop down bad activity.

Besides, we are at a very good place. I removed some moderators and we are still on top of every report despite our small team. Its small and yet efficient. We wont need new moderators until the efficiency dies down, which I don't see happening anytime soon.

I'm not going to lie: after seeing more than my fair share of daily shitstorms, mass status update cleansing, dueling thread title topics, and contests that incur hundreds of nearly empty posts that make it impossible to find posts that I actually want to read, I've come to enjoy the odd occasional down period.

That's because I was the only one providing the updates for Ultimania and I have other things I have to take care of and couldn't always update. KH13 and KHInsider both have staff in different timezones that can post as soon as information drops.

I can't tell if you're being funny or not, but either way,I know what it looks and feels like to have a forums whole userbase to just leave and I know what a dearth of activity looks like. It also hurts so much if it's a community close to your heart and one that you've integrated well into (Damn you Nuggetbridge ;) anyway this place is nowhere near dead so it's just kinda hilarious for you to say this xD

Huh, well I guess that explains it. Sorry things couldn't work out.
