Hey there everyone, how's it going!?  So then, as I'm very sure you're all aware of, we recently got the Dengeki Playstation Magazine Kingdom Hearts article, and it brought about some mighty interesting things to the table concerning the series!  One of these interesting things is the fact that Nomura said that the Seven Guardians Of Light and the Thirteen Seekers Of Darkness won't be fully revealed until the end of Kingdom Hearts III!  Damn, that is one hell of a tease, don't you think!?

Just what could this mean!?  Does this mean that we'll only see the Seekers we already know during most of the game, and see the remaining ones only during the final portion of the game?  And does this mean that Terra, Ventus and Aqua come late to the party to become Guardians Of Light?  Are other unexpected factors gonna come into play?

Personally, I just really don't know.  I'm so hyped to find out who our mystery characters are!!!  For the Guardians, we're almost certain on who they are, but who could the remaining Seekers be?  GAHH, THE HYPE IS REAL!!!!

Hmmmm....This tells me that a majority of KH3's plot will probably consist of saving the fallen/ lost individuals, and keeping the remaining worlds out of Xehanort's reach. Or...maybe, Xehanort  isn't too concerned with the individual worlds at all, and their stories will consist only of internal affairs. Whatever the case, the end goal will most likely be just to get to the Keyblade Graveyard with everyone in tow. Aqua, Terra, Ventus, etc. and end things once and for all. Which means that as far as the Darknesses are concerned, if we see any of them before the end, their faces will most likely be covered by hoods, their dialogue extremely vague, and their actions cryptic. Mysteries, mysteries!!

Oh God, just thinking of the possibilities makes me get so hyped!  And yeah, you're probably right!  The mystery Seekers probably won't have that many lines throughout the game, which will just make us keep guessing who they are!  But, if we keep our ears in check, we could decipher who they are just by listening to their voices!

But yes, it's interesting to see what direction KHIII's story will take!  I'm sure most of the game will serve for major character development as the final battle comes ever nearer! :D

I'm not sure if I want that or if I would rather have the baddies be highly invested in the Disney hijinx. I think there'd be more of a sense of intensity and high stakes if the baddies meddled with the worlds as well. Perhaps it'll be a bit random with some appearing in worlds and others not, some of them revealing themselves and others not.

And let's hope we get separate scenes where said baddies get character development!  Seeing things from the Guardians' side is interesting and all, but let's have the baddies have some screen time, ya know? :3

Heh, yeah it doesn't seem characteristic of the Darkness to just sit around, and twiddles it's thumbs, does it? In the trailer, we see Heartless...so I know for a FACT that Ansem SoD is gonna be involved somehow. Xemnas, Xigbar, and Young N. will probably not be too far behind, cooking up their own schemes. xP

How cool would it be to see a conference of all of the Darknesses, similar to the Villain conferences in KH1? With the Dark shadows and everything? That would be so cool!!

Oh God, the nostalgic levels would make me have goosebumps on so many scales! :')  GJALDSKFJALDSKFJALSD, SEEKERS OF DARKNESS FOR THE WIN!!! <3

That's a very interesting tidbit, I didn't even catch that on my first run-through of the Dengeki article. My initial thought was that we'd be introduced to each member through the course of the game like KHII but if the entire Organization is revealed towards the end, then clearly the remaining individuals in the True Organization are people that we already know or know of. They wouldn't leave them until the end if they were characters we had no idea about.

My thoughts are that Luxord and either Vanitas or another former member of Org. XIII like Marluxia will be revealed earlier on and the big revelation is that Xehanort was able to acquire the Foretellers either through time-travel or, following on Soralaam's theory, was able to create a digital version of the past and bring them into the real world to serve as members. The Foretellers will be the big reveal and then it will be explained that Xehanort himself is either a reincarnation, descendant or time-displaced version of the sixth Foreteller.

In fact, it's entirely possible that this sixth Foreteller may have done something horribly wrong, to the point that this 'Master of Masters' had to banish him via time-travel and erase his memories, resulting in him being abandoned on a backwater world in the far-flung future. He had no family, no personal connection to Destiny Islands, and so sought to escape it immediately because that's what his heart needed: freedom. Alternatively, this sixth Foreteller was blasted to Destiny Islands and parents a son who would become Xehanort. This kind of stuff is REALLY 'speculatory' though with no evidence to back it up so I'm gonna stop here.

EDIT: Thinking on it though, I keep forgetting that Xehanort's Keyblade was shown in the KHIII trailer to be hung up somewhere in The Land of Departure. If Xehanort is not directly related to the Sixth Foreteller, the other possibility is that the Sixth Foreteller could have been 'imprisoned' or otherwise linked in that Keyblade, Eraqus's Master found it and held it up as a warning to future apprentices of what a dark weapon looks like and Xehanort, somehow, gets away with taking it. In some way, by taking the Keyblade, Xehanort becomes that Sixth Foreteller's 'Successor' and...yeah.

Oh God, that'd be insane!  I, myself, am also hoping that Vanitas and Luxord are members of the Organization, and I've always thought so for the longest time!  But wow, imagine if the other members were indeed digital versions of the Foretellers, as you just said?  Oh lord, the mysteries!  It's agonizing to wait, but it'll be worth it! X_X

They might have meant that it will be clear BY THE TIME you reach the ending of KH3. Like maybe over time you'll run into more and more of the newer members as you travel the worlds, kind of like how Sora met the original Organization one member at a time. Then again, unless the final 7 Seekers (6 if one of them is Terra/Terranort) are supposed to be a big reveal, like one that wouldn't work as well if we met them one at a time throughout the story, then it probably will be at the final chapter of the ...final chapter when we get to see who they are. As for the Guardians, I'm pretty sure we'll get exposed to them one by one as the story progresses, since it's pretty obvious who the candidates are. The real mystery is just in finding out who's available and who makes the cut.

The exact wording (and granted, this is just a translation) was:

"Not including who has already been disclosed in [KH3D], their identities will be concealed until the end of [KHIII]"

The word 'concealed' implies that the remaining seven that we don't know about won't be revealed at all until the end of the game. The Guardians have pretty much all been named in 3D. Mickey directly states:

"Seven guardians of light? Well, for Keyblade wielders, there's me and Riku and Sora. And my three missing friends, that's six. Then the seventh would be... (Kairi)

HOWEVER, Nomura has also been really sly about who the Guardians all actually are so I'm sure there'll be a bait-and-switch or two somewhere down the line. But the point I'm trying to make is that even if we're not 100% on who the Guardians are, I think we know who all the candidates for Guardians are. We have no clue who the rest of the 13 Seekers are and if Nomura really meant to use the word 'concealed', it seems likely that he means it literally.

I doubt they're going to just sit around and wait. Xehanort wants Sora and the others to fight, so he's going to do whatever he can to "motivate" them. We'll probably be seeing the six we know about throughout the worlds, we may even fight them along the way but they'll slink away into the shadows before we can finish them off.

Well even then, it's not like we won't know them until the story is over, at the very least we'll get to see them as the battle begins, or before the battle ends. Kind of like how Vanitas' true face was revealed at the end of Ven's story I would imagine. If that is the case though, then I really hope it's such a big deal who these final seven are if they have to be concealed till Garbage Day!!! X-Blade Day. I do hope we get to see them a lot throughout the story tho. It would be pretty boring to have them not do anything for a whole game and then suddenly matter in the story at the final battle. I'm sure they'll handle them well though. They typically do a good job with villain presence in these games.

The guardians of light seem to be pretty black and white.

It's the seekers of darkness that seem to have the blurred lines. As far as the remaining seats, I'm hinging my bets on the Foretellers for continuity purpose from 2.8, however, I think it's Foretellers from an alternate parallel timeline as opposed to the timeline that Xehanort is present in. Xehanort specifically stated that he cannot change what is destined to happen. The Keyblade War happened. The lost masters were indeed lost. Therefore, I propose alternate Foretellers being darkness's.

I don't think we need to wait we might get them even in the intro if the chessboard will turning out in the Keyblade Wars.

I will probably read the spoilers about the darknesses anyway.

Man, this just makes me wonder all the more how we'll encounter the Seekers throughout the game!?  I've no doubt Nomura's got some pretty badass scenes planned for these badass baddies!  This is the finale of the Xehanort Saga, after all!  The villains are gonna go out, sure, but let them go out with style! :D  But yeah, it'll be fun to guess who the Seekers and Lights are! :3

Yes, that's also a good way of putting it!  Getting exposure to the already known members is something we'll probably get a lot of!  I really hope there are lots of scenes with old man Nort himself!  Gahh, the hype! X_X

Hmm, well, it could be what Kaweebo mentioned regarding SoraIam's theory of the other Seekers being digital versions of the Foretellers!  It this turns out to be true, then damn, that's interesting stuff right there!

Lol, oh, I would definitely not want to spoil myself!  Back when KH3D came out, I avoided looking at topics here like crazy just so I wouldn't get spoiled on the story! So I'm not gonna let anyone spoil Kingdom Hearts III for me! D:

Well we could see them before the very end. We might not know until after Ventus, Terra, and Aqua have been saved. In fact, it could be anytime we might know until Nomura clarifies when.

Nomura is a sly fox, I tell you!  A sly fox!

*GASP*  WAIT, A FOX!  THE VULPEUS UNION HAS THE SYMBOL OF A FOX!  NOMURA IS THE TRAITOR!!!  VULPEUS HAS BEEN UNMASKED!!!! xD

*Clears throat.* Anyways, back on topic, who knows what'll happen?  I'm just so hyped to find out! X_X

I would like your post, but I reached my max. Don't worry, I will be back tomorrow with more ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

On topic, I hope that the seekers will be revealed by half game, and guardians are not complete until the final battle.

Lol, I wanted to like your post as well, but the same problem happened to me! xD

And yes, let us hope!  I'm still hoping Vanitas and Luxord are potential members! X_X

If Nomura is leaving the 'reveals' to the end then how big is this game? I mean 0.2 BBS was meant to be part of KHIII. That saying, I personally find it a anti-climax if everything is left to the end, Id prefer a gradual reveal throughout the game and going back awhile in the conversation about dialogue revealing identities, always remember we could have cutscenes with no voice acting, like we've had in previous titles if Nomura is dead set on completely hiding identities

Man, that's just the thing!  We don't know how long Kingdom Hearts III will be, but the fact that Nomura decided to put A Fragmentary Passage separately from KHIII is because the game must be pretty long!  And that's just badass!  How will we see the Seekers and Guardians be revealed?  Well, that's just part of the ride! :D

Thing is despite the information we do have, we still barely know anything about the game. I mean we don't know if we will have multiple world visits ( I know we have more worlds than KHII), multiple playable characters etc. Hopefully D23 answers a few questions! I have no idea how they reveal the GoLs and SoDs, though I expect to see the likes of Xigbar and probably Ansem/Xemnas frequently tormenting Sora and co. They might have reveals in different worlds for the SoDs and despite the GoLs looking certain, with Nomura nothing is certain, so perhaps we could have a bombshell at the end or something?

Oh ho, you are quite right!  Nomura is a sly fox, so who knows what his mind has cooked up!  And well, I personally hope we get second visits for the worlds again, because I loved that aspect of Kingdom Hearts II!  And yeah, I'm sure the Seekers will have quite the fair amount of screen time throughout the game, at least, that's what I'm hoping!  I love villains, so I hope the Seekers show prominently, even if their faces are concealed!  And you know, we actually have been hinted at multiple playable characters, so it's not out of the realm of possibility!  Can you imagine what'd be like!?  Gahhh, the wait is killing me!

Well, only 20 days away for the KH Fan Event!  We'll get our info soon! :D

E3 seemed like yesterday haha how has d23 come so quickly? On a serious note, the more visits per world the better, what odds are you offering on frozen or Star Wars being the d23 world?
