I know this is in Random but being completely serious here, Marluxia was originally intended to be a woman but was changed to a male because they didn't want both traitors to the Organization being female. But on the plus side, if that's the only change they made then Marluxia may very well be the first canonocally gay character in Kingdom Hearts. Just putting that out there.
