Sony might release a higher performance PS4 in the future

This is going to delay my purchase a bit. I don't want a repeat of the "new" 3ds.

Same.

This system will only affect Blu-ray quality and you'll have to have a UHDTV to reap the benefits (P.S. I predicted the emergence of Ultra-High-Definition like two years ago.http://kh13.com/forum/topic/45479-do-you-think-ffxiii-can-have-an-hd-remake-one-day-oo/page-2?hl=+final%20+fantasy%20+xiii%20+hd%20+remaster )So, all I can say is

Actually there isn't any information about it all. So might have other benefits such as improved performance of games. It might not even happen and I don't think it will anyway.

The 3DS upgrade? Fine. But spend another $400 for a slightly better system?

Now I see why PC Gamers are PC gamers. Especially if they make "new console exclusives" -_- (Keep in mind the New 3DS has ONE (albeit the best) revision-exclusive game, so is the purchase really justified?) I get that Sony (Nintendo too) is trying to keep their system technologically up-to-date (with the nearly exponential increases in performance by PC and the rising capability of smartphones), but they need a better way besides making the common person fork out another $400 to play the game they want.

You predicted Ultra HD? Ummmm. Ultra HD has been common knowledge for years.

Ultra HD is brand new, it just happened this year. That post is from way back in '13, well before the general public knew about it.

That's you. Just because you were aware of it doesn't make it "common knowledge" it just makes you well-informed. "Common knowledge" means the majority of the general public knows about something.

It means you didn't predict anything correctly. And I think YouTube having 4K support is enough.

PC Gamers tend to care too much about graphics. This "PC Master Race" thing is annoying even as a joke. Even me, as a PC gamer, I get annoyed. And don't get me wrong, having good graphics isn't bad. But PC gamers need to learn that it isn't everything. And that there is more to gaming than just PC.

Nice you just predicted the PS5! lol jk. I'm perfectly content with my Darth Vader edition PS4 coming next month.

I guess my purchase of a PS4 may be delayed so I can get the best out of HD2.8 and KH3.

Eh, I don't think this will affect my decision much. I was planning on finding a cheap PS4, and that's probably not going to happen with this. The New 3DS was worth it to me since it got a port of my favorite game of all time, along with amiibo support and improved controls, but a PS4 with better performance might not catch my interest. I can't see myself being interested in any games that would only work on a PS4 2.0.

Actually, the New 3DS has two exclusives, though the second is an eShop exclusive title (The Binding of Isaac). It's also getting another eShop game that can only be played on the New 3DS.

Everybody likes to dawn over that "PC Master Race" crap...

The fact of the matter is, PC has many of decent advantages over consoles. This is from a person who currently owns all the PS systems AND a X360 (Not counting Nintendo, because they have first-party games that make them unique from either). The fact also stands that developers who are developing on PS4 and Xbox One are moving towards the PC platform too. Not only do you have an all-in-one system, but also better graphics, longer life, a vastly better selection (yes, even PS2 and Wii), and cheaper prices via Steam.

PC fanboys may be assholes, but they know what they're talking about. To be honest, I hate them for that too... (And have to make my spheal about how great consoles are xD)

Please, make this new PS4 backwards compatiable!

I personally think that consoles are great for those exclusives that will never appear on PC, along with those that have horrible PC ports. Also, PC may be more expensive initially, but it's cheaper to upgrade. You don't have to constantly upgrade, though same can be said with consoles.

It'll be too expensive. The reason the PS4 wasn't backwards compatible in the first place was due to costs. Besides, it's pointless, there is the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Now.

Just to be clear. Ito only mentioned the possibility of a high performance PS4. He didn't confirm that they were planning to do it and I actually doubt they will.

You need to upgrade your PC at least every 3 years or so to maintain those better graphics. Consoles are built to last.

Good point, but upgrades that often aren't necessary. You should still be fine with a graphics card from three years ago.

A higher performance PS4 shouldn't have exclusive games. Instead, the games that were designed to run on PS4 v1 should have less loading times/more fps. Nothing over the top. This way, the second PS4 really isn't necessary, unless it gets as slim as an iPod or something. That's something.
