what I mean by the tales of games are games like this one: Posted Image

I have played 2 "tales of" games. One of which is Tales of Graces^. I have played and finished the game last year. It is my favorite "tales of" game by the way. Right now I'm currently playing Tales of the Abyss and I haven't finished the game yet obviously .

  • Any Tales fan should know that Xillia 2 has the best story in the series, hands down.

  • That's simple.   Luke Fon Fabre's name means "Light of the Sacred Flame" Asch changed his name to distinguish himself from Luke, since he was no longer Luke Fon Fabre. The name Asch sounds like "Ash

As much as i liked TOX2's opening, i think this one takes the cake for me:

(specifically Jude's version also, i like Milla's, but i think Jude exclusive scenes in this fit the song and pace better)

Xilia 1 and 2 have some good opening. Zesteria op is good as well

I love them all!!

Btw, the singer/music artist of the song sounds very familiar - is it the group 'Bump of Chicken'?

helllo guys, today I want to talk about my top four favorite "Tales of" games. I have made a youtube video on it below. It's not as long as I'd like it to be, but at least I tried.

What are your top four or five favorite "Tales of games"?

That accent on the S! :D (just messing with you)!

And as always, Tales of The Abyss wins! :D

That's a pretty awesome top four list you got there Mr. Kaito!  The vid was great, but it looks like you could use a better microphone, since some of the words you were saying were being cut off! :O  Anyways, like I said, those are great Tales choices!  I myself have only played four Tales games so far, but I've loved them all dearly, but if I had to pick favorites, I'd pick:

  • Tales Of Xillia: It was my first Tales game, and I loved it to bits, and the story of Jude, Milla and friends was an amazing story!  The combat was slick and the plot twists epic!
  • Tales Of Graces F:  I'm currently playing through this game right now, and I have to say that I'm loving it very much!  The story is very intriguing, the battles are challenging, and I love the Title system in this game!  It gives you the ability to gain different titles, and each title gives you artes and stat boosts!  It's so fun!!! :D

As for the other two Tales games I've played, they are Symponia and its sequel, Dawn Of The New World!  Both games are frickin amazing, and I loved them to death!

Like I said, I've loved all the Tales games I've played very dearly, but my top two at the moment are Xillia and Graces F. :3

Thanks for the advice. I'm now thinking about getting a better mic and Tales of graces was my first Tales game. :)

No problem!  Oh, and Graces was your first Tales game?  Awesome! :D

I have never played any of the Tales but it caught my attention so I say that all Tales of games seem pretty interesting. ^w^

I haven't played that many Tales games,so I'm not sure how relevant it is for me to make that list, but still

4.Tales of Phantasia

3.Tales of Symphonia

2.Tales of Graces ƒ

1.Tales of Xillia

The only reason why I prefer Xillia over Graces is because Xillia has a much better story and story is really important to me an RPG,but other than that I'd say Graces is the supior game. Symphonia had a great story too,but the battle system is not as good as the futur games that came after it and I didn't like any of the dungeons because of the boring puzzles.

Xillia is toooooons better than Graces F as far as story goes. I really enjoyed Graces F but I really  didn't like the constant talk about "friendship" and the "Peace & Love conquers all" plot that the game had. That's one of my only few complaints I have with Graces F. But gameplay-wise, Graces F blows Xillia out of the water. I really hate that in Xillia you  are only able to stagger bosses for a certain amount of hits and then they break out of your combo. That's something I hope that they never EVER do in a Tales game again. That was just stupid on their part.

For every boss battle in Xillia,it felt like I was mashing random buttons until I won,the game is very easy and didn't required a lot of thinking, but when you raise the difficulty level, the bosses get ridiculous stat boost which only makes them more tedious to fight rather than fun,but in Graces even on the normal difficulty some bosses were very challenging and you had to plan how you'd deal with them.

That's another problem I hated in XIllia and XIllia 2. The boss fights in the harder difficulty mods were, like you said, more tedious than fun. I really wish that Namco did a better job at balancing the stats of bosses when you fight them on higher difficulty. Becuase Xillia/Xillia 2's bosses were ridiculous on harder difficulties and it felt like that I wasn't even doing much damage to them ever when I was at the right level against them.

I honestly love all of them, but Tales of Symphonia 1 and 2's art styles just stand out to me. What's yours? :)

Haha, like you, I love the art style of all the Tales games I have so far, but the one that I find most visually impressive is Tales Of Graces F's art!  The cover box of the game is unique and colorful, and the characters look really badass!  And I just love the intro video! :3

I really hated how they facked up the Asbel x sophie ship,I was really disappointed with the ending.Richard should of been the main character....jus sayin.....

Anyway I liked tales of the abyss's art style but then again don't all the tales games art style look the same?

I guess they do. All of them have a cartoony art style of course, they just look different to me. Tales of Symphonia 2's art style looks totally different from Tales of Xillia's art style.

That's just me. What I'm trying to say that each Tales game seems to have a different style to them other than being bright and colorful.

Xillia's the only one I've played (Or playing through at the moment, to be specific), so I guess that one.
