I don't want Sora and Kairi to kiss. I feel like they should keep the powerful friendship that they have; the three of them make it seem like a platonic bond that is unbreakable. If Sora and Kairi kiss then Riku is kind of just the third wheel, and it just seems ruined in my opinion. I don't think that every story has to be romantic to be beautiful.

Technically, there's implied romance at the start of the first game with all that paopu subplot.

no I totally get it! It's a 50/50 thing. I'll admit I used to want them to but after seeing the other trios, that's like terra and aqua getting together and xion and Rosas getting together.

Not really. There have been no romantic hints with any of the other trios, Aqua flat out calls Terra her brother. Meanwhile there have been dozens of hints for SoKai so it wouldn't be coming our of nowhere like it would for any other couple.

Beginning of BbS "You two would make the weirdest brothers" I believe the Japanese made it even more clear that there was a familial bond. But yeah, that scene was meant to show that she sees Ven and Terra as her brothers the same way Terra sees Eraqus as his father.

I always took that to mean she was commenting on Ven and Terra's brotherly bond with each other. I don't think she's saying they're her brothers. 

 

Ven and Terra's brotherly bond is emphasized a lot, actually. In the last promotional media every description about Ventus mentions how he sees Terra as an older brother, not to mention the Xehanort Reports. His brotherly affection for Terra was so strong Vanitas felt it.

I'm excited for Ventus to finally wake up, and for Sora to talk to him, and plus for Aqua, Terra and Ven to finally face Xehanort and the 13 darkness members.
