Rumour: PSP emulation may be in development, no plans for PSOne, more PS2 games on the way

Posted

Reliable source Wario64 has been hearing some things at PSX about PS4 emulation.

  • Parappa 2 coming Dec 15th to PS4.
  • PSP emulation may be in the works of some sort?
  • Not much for PSone
  • first PS2 emulated titles were the first licenses they could get their hands on
  • Expect PS2 emulated library to increase in coming months
  • No idea if or when those Star Wars PS2 games will be available to all

Eh. I don't really know if I'd go for this. I already have emulators for PS2 and PSP so...I'll just stick with those, especially if there will be an additional fee.

Two words: Licensing issues

Four words: this sucks to acknowledge.

Three words: Never say never.

Fifteen words: I mean, you didn't say never, but you know what I mean. It's an expression.

I would love to see a port of Daxter, though. Average game, but would be even better on console. Or even the GTA spinoffs.

Think Daxter would definitely be a title they'd do.

So..... Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on PS4?

Cool.

(Just need a PS4 now..)

Two words...Crisis Core. <3

Oh that'd be so rad to have Crises Core for the VC on PS4. It would be a good chance for me to play it, especially on a TV screen. They should totally bring FF Crises Core to the PS4's virtual game library since the remake is being made.

Virtual Console is a Nintendo name.

Well you know what I mean :P.

People's complaints: I will have to rebuy my games because it won't work with my UMDs.

Hopefully Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one of the first titles on there.

No plans for PSOne? This is bad. It has the most interesting games from all PS consoles.

To be fair they have PSOne Classics and on literally every platform possible already bar PS4. I think it's more they're more focused on PS2 and to a lesser extent, PSP and then they'd look at PSOne.

Well you could always get the HD Remastered version on PS3 lol.
