I'm working on a movie for Pixar...

Posted

So I had an idea for a children's book/Disney Pixar movie today. It's a story about two young boys who really care about each other, who live in a small town on Planet Earth. Because they're bored, they're always playing Heroes in the backyard.

Until one day, it all becomes real.

When Kyle (the right) is taken by the forces of evil after a huge storm, the main character must really become a hero and embark on a journey to a secret world in order to save his best friend. He must travel between light and darkness, our world and their world.

I think this film/book could teach kids about being gay, finding themselves, and protecting the ones that they love. I'm going to work on this.

Plus, if this does become a film, could you see it in Kingdom Hearts?

When I read this, I pictured that game Heart of Darkness.(I think that's what it was called) about the boy and his dog kinda doing the same thing

This is kind of really similar to KH...

There is no actual way you actually work for Pixar, or you wouldn't be allowed to tell us about this on this site! I call you a fake from a mile away, and you are just pretending you are a big worker just because you want to make your story sound more appealing, which it isn't going to become a film at all!

um? At which point did I say I work for Pixar? I'm putting together a portfolio to send to them. Thanks though.

Lol this is literally the plotline for Kingdom Hearts, seeing as nobody knows what Kingdom Hearts is apart from really nerdy people, go right ahead!

This is what KH is, which is pretty iffy for me since its so uncanny.

yeah, I think the storm aspect makes it too similar. In my mind the boys are like 7 maybe, around that age. And going to the other world is kind of like going to an alternate dimension. I'm still trying to figure out how he gets there, though.

I take issue with the gay part of this and teaching kids about being that way because of my religious beliefs, but everything else seems not that bad. Could it be in KH? I don't think it would be strong enough story wise to make it in.

Just to throw out an opposing argument here, I like the idea of the boys being gay. It would teach kids about tolerance. There's enough negative influences in the world and we need more things like this.

It could work if you change the storm. Traveling to new worlds wasn't new when KH did it, but the storm needs to be changed, unless it's something seriously different, like an electrical storm, or tornado.

And the gay aspect seems interesting: you'd get an audience on it just for that. Teaching tolernace for different things (Other races, sexualities, cultures, E.T.C) isn't done nearly enough in kids films.

I like this idea!  Though I will agree, it kinda does share some similarities with KH in terms of the whole storm splitting the two friends up and the main character traveling to different worlds.  But, since you said it's a dark realm and a light realm, it differentiates itself enough, so that's good and dandy!  And well, as for the whole gay concept, it serves as a good way to explore this topic which a lot of people still seem to think as taboo.  Even though I'm a person that wouldn't go gay, I respect people who are, or who are lesbians/bisexuals/transexuals.  If I have a right to happiness, they do too, ya know?  And besides, even though the world can sometimes be a bit horrible, people nowadays are a bit more open minded than, let's say, 10 years back.  So yeah, this could have some potential!  I wish you the best of luck with introducing this to the big executives over at Disney/Pixar! :D  I would go see this movie! ^_^

And yeah, I could see this in Kingdom Hearts one day. :)
