I have been thinking with the little info we've seen on 2.8 I believe that it will be delayed to 2017. I think it might be cause they are trying to get unchained x to the west. What do you think?

2.8 is coming in 2016, without a doubt. We really don't need info on 2.8 as it's just a cinematic, a remaster and a half-game. Unchained X has an indefinite release.

I don't know it just feels like something is up with it.

If you're talking about lack of PR, that's nothing new. Yes, they said they'd be stepping up PR, but at this point, stepping up PR isn't a difficult task considering how much we don't get. If anything, we might get a few more news updates than usual.

 

Other than that, nothing's out of the ordinary.

I just don't trust Square. I'm more worried about the development about 2.8 than KH3.

Yes it will release in 2016 it has been announced in the description of all the trailers they released so far.  The reason we haven't really heard that much about it since Jump Festa is because there hasn't been any sort of Venue to show it off and they don't do any of those ATR for Kingdom Hearts like they do with Final Fantasy.  Will he see anything before E3 probably not but we will for sure see something at E3.  As well I don't think a mobile game would hinder any of the progress of 2.8

maybe that placeholder date of December 31st, 2016 will carry more weight than we thought lol

Yes, the game shall release this year!  I'm just thinking that marketing for the game will kick off from E3 forward, ya know?  I'm guessing that by then, the release date would be announced, and there would be marketing for the game leading up to its release, which I think would be in October or November!

 

As for Unchained X, that's a wild card, since it could be released at any moment!

They stated that it will be a 2016 release, so it shall be.  Like others said, we're only in the 3rd month of 2016, it'll most likely release around the holidays, so there's plenty of time between now and then to release new info.  However, don't get mad and blame Square Enix for lack of info, they want to share this stuff with us, they really do.  But they have to run everything through Disney first, as they get the final say, and Disney has been making them stay tight-lipped about info for Unchained X, 2.8, and 3, they really like their secrets.  I think I remember hearing from one of TGJ's vids that Nomura wanted to do an ATR for KH, but Disney wouldn't let him.

It most certainly will come out this year. We've got Nomura's promise to take into account here (which he has mostly kept surprisingly). One game every year.

It will come in 2016. Be patient and they will announce it. It could be announced when we least expect it.

Guys, we just have to remain positive!  We'll get our information soon, we just need to be patient!  I'm sure that when we get new information regarding 2.8, it'll be awesome!
