The Seekers of Darkness can't die?/Time Travel Speculations.

Posted

If they are killed in the present, how will they return to their time periods and continue on with their destinies? For example.

If Sora kills Ansem SOD in the present, how will he return back to the time YX took him from? This would mess up the entire timeline. Of course, killing off Isa or Braig wouldn't apply since they aren't products of time travel.

Also, all of the SOD in the room during the end of DDD faded back into their own original times.

In that case are they going to be brought back for the keyblade war? You'd need another vessel to repeat what YX did. However, there are a few possibilities for this to make sense:

We know MX gave them all a part of his heart or 'NORTED' them, perhaps with his skills and ability he can pull whoever has a portion of his heart from certain periods of time for a certain amount of time.

The laws of time travel work differently in the Realm of Sleep. If Nomura realised the time travelling didn't add up he could retcon it by saying the rules of time travelling in the Realm of Light and sleep work differently.

I can't help but think that there must be a limit to the whole putting a piece of one's heart into another being. Surely Master Xehanort can only do it so many times, at least before his heart is able to recover from all of it.

As for the time travel speculation, I've wondered, myself, how exactly he would be able to gather them all in the same room again. Though, perhaps he could just divide his heart from his body once again to go back a second time, and re-enter the Realm of Sleep to await them there. That is, of course, assuming there is no limitation there.

I've long since stopped caring about how this all works. All I know is I'm going to slaughter Team Xehanort when the time comes, long term ramifications be damned.

i always assumed that they didn't die, they just did a dramatic exit. i mean we've seen in the series before that completely taking out a persons health bar doesn't kill them all the time (Maleficent, normal fight KH1), and we know that some foes, after a fight, leave in ways that suggest they're dead (Axel, prologue fight KH2).

so i figured giving the villains a dramatic exit would end the fight better than making them storm off in a hissy fit for losing the fight.

whatever the case i don't think the series is going to address it so it's low on the list of things i care about concerning KH

Maybe this could also be where the Book Of Prophecies comes into play!  We don't know exactly how much power this Book holds, but if Xehanort is the one holding it, well, then that'd explain how he has so much knowledge!  And maybe that's how he can summon forth the other Seekers!  But I really don't know!  It'll be interesting to see how things work out in Kingdom Hearts III! :D

Well seeing as fated events are meant to happen and that the destruction of Xemnas and Ansem SOD are instrumental in bringing back Old Man Xehanort then they need to return to their original timeline. From what I gather this kind of what we are looking/might happen ( Using Xemnas as an example)

1) Fated event- Old Man Xehanort takes over Terra thus creating Terranort

2) Fated Event- Terranort now Apprentice Xehanort surrenders to the darkness creating Xemnas and Ansem)

3) Xemnas creates Organization XIII with the intent of making the members all norted

4) Xemnas fights Sora at Hollow Bastion

5) events of KH2- Xemnas is defeated- Fated Event

His destruction as well as Ansem's results in Xehanort returning...

6) Due to Ansem SOD going back in time thus providing Young Xehanort with time travelling; YX is able to go to Xemnas' timeline as above and bring him forward to future

7) events of DDD- Xemnas terrorises Sora and is thus present when 12 of the SODs are present

8) due to Sora not being Norted Xemnas returns to his own time period.

prseumed events:

9) Once the 13th vessel has been found and norted; Xemnas is back in the current events

10) Xemnas is a combatant in the Second Keyblade War

Speculation as there are 2 potential routes I can think of:

11) Xemnas is defeated and thus returns to his own time period to essential fill the fated event where he has to be defeated in KHII to bring back OMX

12) Xemnas is defeated and having already fulfilled his role of being defeated in the past to bring back OMX simply fades away in the present day without going back to the past.

Either way Xemnas has to be defeated to bring back OMX; it just looks a bit complicated whether or not he'll have to go back to the past to fulfil his duty or whether that role has already been fulfilled and he can simply fade away in the present.

Or there is one other outcome: ( fantastically making It 13 points)

13) Xemnas doesn't get defeated in the Keyblade War and thus continues living in the present

I personally think that the answer to this is extremely simple. I believe that when you destroy someone or something that has traveled time, they simply get teleported back to their original time period. Simple as that.

Screw terra xehanort, i'm going to slaughter Terra. Idc if he's a GOL i'll just keep attacking him forever.

I always thought that they won't die because they'll just return to the past. What I mean is that I think they won't die cause we know they'll return back to their time.

That. They must not be able to die outside of their own time.
