So....the story is I may be getting a Kitten from a family member (I still need to A-OK from my parents and my Dad hates pets so it will be a battleground lololol)
I've heard that potentially it is likely that he will be a male kitten since i've heard that Male cats tend to be more affectionate with their owners than female cats (which may tend to be more independent/moody/aloof).
I was wondering what name I could give mine? What did you name your pets and why?
Some potential names I had in mind are:
Makoto: Unisex name for both male and females; Makoto was the name of the main character in 'the girl who leapt through time', Makoto was the name of my favourite character from FREE!; and there was a character named Makoto in the TV japanese drama/toku show 'Kamen Rider Ghost'. Plus 'mako-chan' sounds cool too.
Takumi: I dunno, I just thought calling my kitten 'Taku-chan' would be heaps cute
Yuusuke/Yuuto/Yuuta/'Yuu': Same reason why I chose Takumi. 'Yuu-chan' sounds cute too
Kyou: Named after Sohma Kyou from Fruits Basket....although I really hope he doesn't end up growing up to be an aloof and violent cat
Wataru: Named after the amazing Violinist and half-fangire from Kamen Rider KIVA
Other names/lower priority: Ryoutaro (Den-O), Shoutaro (W), Eiji (OOO), Ankh (OOO), Kenzaki (Blade), Souta (Kabuto), Haruto (Wizard), Kouta (Gaim), Kaito (Gaim), Peko (Gaim), Tomari (Drive, will be shortened to Tom), Takeru (Ghost), Haru, Gareki, Nai, Yogi, Karoku, Ichigo (c'mon Strawberry cats!), Kou/Kouga, Taiga (Kiva), Emiya (Unlimited cat works bwahahaha...nah), Shino (Hakkenden), Takara (treasure)
KH names: Roxas, Ven, Sora, Ephemera
And yeah...giving another living being a name is very hard...because its a name they'll have to stick to for the rest of their life. I want to give him the perfect name
The name I'm looking for Is I want it to be simple but also meaningful and not over the top. (i.e. calling a Cat Xehanort, Ganondorf or Skitty/Delcatty is not what I'm aiming for). He'll be an indoor cat and I've heard his breed is very placid and sociable so I was hoping for a name that defines a gentle and genial existence. I've heard his fur is likely to be creme with dazzling blue eyes.
