At least Unchained is here. I just hope that lasts for quite a while.

I'm fine with it if the sequel Kingdom Hearts EcChi is released.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Bittersweet. I understand the reason for the server's shutting down so it's all good.

But I'd be lying if I said I didn't put effort and love into my account

A different thought:

Why did they bother releasing it, only to cancel it a few months later? Seems like a slight "Frick you" from Square.

Just my opinion: feel free to ignore me. (Or delete this if I accidentally offend someone)

Few years later actually.

We never had an NA version of Chi. It's the browser version being terminated, not the mobile version.

Huh.

I was under the impression the whole thing is being termintated, NA version and Japan version.

People have said that on other sites, and I assumed it was correct.

Must have been a misunderstanding.

Must have been a misunderstanding.

It seems so. My mistake.

Considering how it now has it's own independent chain of events and has not shown any plans for being localized, I am pretty disappointed that support for it will be ending so soon. They really better have some way of compensating for the missed opportunity for us, at least give us some kind of "alternate dimension mission" in Unchained or depict both sides of the event in Back Cover or something. Why must they always keep one side of the world in the dark? xP

Well, I never played the game, so I can't say I feel sad about the game ending, especially given the fact that Unchained X is now here!

But there's one thing that I don't understand.  Isn't Unchained X basically a mobile version of X?  As in, don't they have the same story?  Cuz I'm reading here how people are sad it didn't get localized and whatnot, but isn't the story of Unchained the same as the browser version, only that we can now play it on our mobile devices? I'd appreciate an answer here! :)

And well, the game ending in September is quite interesting!  I wonder if Nomura will shed more light on 2.8 after X closes down! :O

I only started playing inn December, but I still wish it didn't have to go. I understand that because the story is ending and such, but I still wish that I could've gone on longer than just a few years. I know unchained chi is out but for me who doesn't have an android and for some reason the emulators don't work on my pc, it's really sad. I'm going to miss you kingdom hearts chi... :

S'all good with Unchained X. Although for the few people who don't have a smartphone, it's a shame =P.

I'm not really fazed by it. I only briefly played x[chi] and even then I never paid much attention to the story elements that were being translated. The difference's in story between both x[chi] and Unchained x really feels unnecessary to begin with any ways.

It does make me wonder if Unchained x will even have that long of a life though. Smartphone games that rely on servers normally don't, but I guess we'll see in 3 years.

It's not quite the same as UX, to be honest, I prefer UX, but it is missing out on a lot of things that X had.

On topic: It should have been localized, that way everyone would have played both versions of it and could compare them the same way as those of us who have played it do.

For me, it would have been the best browser game since the brilliance of the folks at StickPage.com.

I would've preferred it to be localized in na. I'm not a big fan of mobile gaming since my phones have a habit of breaking and I would've liked to just play a browser game. Oh well Ux is pretty good so far

With KHUχ available in NA, I really don't have much sentiment over KHχ ending service in September. Plus, I will have finished watching the walkthrough by then.

Hmm, I see.  But what exactly is it that differentiates X from UX?  I mean, besides the gameplay aspects? :O

I can't really remember too much, but for example, in X you didn't have a quest window, you were actually in the world, exploring it like in any other KH game, and you would consume AP when a battle started, which was quite a pain xD

Also, you had cards instead of medals, which has led me to more than one confusion at the start of UX -.-

Ah, I see.  So the differences are more towards the gameplay aspects than the story, correct?  Because if that's the case, then I don't really have to worry about missing something from X, as both have the same story, am I right? :)

The story is exactly the same, it's just the gameplay itself :D
