Hey there everyone, how's it going!?  So then, I'm here to discuss something interesting about Kingdom Hearts III, and yes, I'm talking about its eventual release!  I know that this topic has been squeezed and milked to death here, but I'm going to provide another topic with my thoughts on why I think next year we'll see KHIII finally being released to us!  It's a thought that came to me, though I'm not sure if someone else here in this site already thought of it!  Anyways, here we go!

 

Okay, so we all know how we're making the comparisons between 0.2 to Ground Zeroes and Episode Duscae, right?  Well, they are similar in the fact that they provide early experiences of what the full games will be, ya know?  With that comes this in mind!

 

Ground Zeroes came out in 2014, and basically served as a first look of what its bigger counterpart, The Phantom Pain, would bring, in addition to having some story to it as well!  The Phantom Pain came out just one year after, that being last year!

 

Last year, we got Episode Duscae, which again, serves as a first, hands on experience of what Final Fantasy XV will end up being, ya know?  That also came with story elements!  Then, fast forward to this year, and XV is set to release by the end of September!

 

Which is why now I come towards Kingdom Hearts III!  In 2.8, Birth By Sleep 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage, will basically serve as a first look at how Kingdom Hearts III will look and feel like when the final product releases, ya know?  And 0.2 has tons of story content, to boot! And we'll be getting this game in December!  This makes me believe that in addition to next year being the 15th Anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series, Kingdom Hearts III will end up releasing from mid to late 2017!  That's what I strongly believe, and there are signs that seem to be pointing in that direction, ya know?  But then again, what do I know? X3

 

But anyways, that's my view on things!  What about all of you?  Do you think III will follow the patterns of Phantom Pain and XV and have its release on the year after its "demo" is released? Tell me what you think!

I agree that it could follow the pattern of Episode Duscae, but I also think it would release next year to keep the "1 game a year" thing that Nomura has been going for. If not, we could get it in 2018.

2017 seems about right. 2016 is a no because of 2.8,XV, and other things.

You forgot about the biggest game of the past decade and it's 20th anniversary next year.

 

 Oh and the fact it's the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy next year. OH and it's Nomura's 25th anniversary as a creator in the video game industry.

Nomura: I know I haven't given any information in a while, but please rest assured that work is moving forward steadily. We are currently getting specifics ready for the next information release, and just like we've done with KH2.8 this time, we plan to bring a whole lot out in one go instead of dribs and drabs, so please look forward to it. I am looking forward to the reveals myself.

So, if Nomura ready to release a lot of information about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake (Part 1), it's good to say that the game is gearing up for a release in the next year and a half to 2 years.

 

 

Neither FF7 remake or KH3 are ready to come out within the first 6 months of next year, so they'd both have to come out within the last half of next year. Square don't reveal release dates until the games are close to completion (The Japan side anyway).

How badly KH3 would flop in sales if it came out around the same time as the FF7 remake, the sales for it would nosedive...

Nomura: Actually, on the day of my 25th anniversary, I'd thought of having a big celebration with my friends, but I got so busy and forgot all about it until a few days had already passed (laughs). They say 25 years is special because it's a quarter of a century, but next year is KH's 15th anniversary and FF7's 20th anniversary, and I think I'll jazz things up for them. At the next information releases, which will be this coming August at the KH concert and the Dissidia Final Fantasy tournament, I plan to start bringing more to light little by little, so I thank you in advance for your continued support.

 

 

As for that whole 'a game a year' thing, you can argue that we got UX and 2.8 this year, so that makes up for this year and for next year. If you are REALLY lucky, maybe, maybe, Square will throw in a KH3 demo with FF7 remake Part 1 (God knows why they would do that) but I doubt it lol.

 

Hey, maybe Square will revive that old mobile game with Frozen in it (Broken Keys? Fragmented Keys? Forgot the name lol). And that

Hmm, you've got quite a valid point there, Shinobi!  FFVII Remake Part 1 would probably come out next year, but hopefully, they'd be far enough apart that Kingdom Hearts III wouldn't be affected!  For example, VII Remake could come out in July, and Kingdom Hearts III in late November to early December!  I say that four and a half months is a decent time gap between games, so I'm sure KHIII releasing at around November-December of next year wouldn't be too far fetched! But that's just me hoping at this point! X_X

 

As for the ReMixes being ported to the PS4, I think it'd be better if that happened after Kingdom Hearts III comes out, ya know?  (Because personally, after 2.8, I really need III! )

Yeah, I hope we get a worldwide release, but I don't think it'll be as early as March!  Late in the year, yes, but I don't think March would be the month of release.  If anything, Nomura could do like Tabata did for XV and hold an Uncovered event for Kingdom Hearts III, and announce the release date for Kingdom Hearts III on the day of the series Anniversary, ya know?  But that's just what I think!

The ff7 remake won't be ready by July, think of the PSX trailer as the second KH3 trailer we got at d23 2013... You won't be getting KH3 until 2018 by the way things are looking right now. Well, let's see what happens!  That Winter announcement could be announcing an Uncovered-esque event for Kingdom Hearts III's release date to be revealed!
